Automatic Resized image generating

Hi,

I discovered that every picture i upload, presta automatically generates 15 copies in different resolutions. Is it required? What will happen if i deselect every option of making copy? I have a store on presta 1.6. The 15 copies of every picture takes too much space on my hosting and i want to clear it.

The other question, is it posible to delete every copy of every picture automatically ?

Hi. those copy of images are generated for your current theme. You must check what images your theme is using like "home_default", "large_default" and remove not used options in BO. Then you can regenerate all images by set "Delete all images".

You can also use the module available on PrestaShop addons which will optimize your store and also has the option to DELETE unused images, cleaning up your store.

How to check what images is my theme using ? Where to find it?

Anyways thak you for your responses, cleaning unused pictures was something i was looking for. I found some script that cleaned 10gb of my storage.

Only in your theme tpl files.
