How do you 'Force' a Line Feed in the text box when entering text for Category descriptions etc

There appears to be NO consistency.

I have Some descriptions where a line feed / carriage return HAS been Inserted and others where, no matter how Many CR's I enter, either at the End of the previous line of text or at the Front of the desired line of text,.. is presented as a Single body of text in the Store, with No line feed separation.

Any help regarding this inconsistency, would be greatly appreciated !!
