Debug mode auto-activated from time to time

Hi,

in my shop version 1.7.8.7 i find occasionally debug mode activated. I'm the only admin, no one switch manually that setting and  "_PS_MODE_DEV_" i set to false.

Do you have any idea about it and why it happens?

Hi, seems to be impossible if your setting file doesn't change! But may be a third-party module change it in some case.

Pumanet, do you have one of the following modules?

• EiCaptcha

• Mondial Relay

• Dropshipping de Linea gráfica

• Cubyn

• Theme and modules from IQIT-COMMERCE.COM

no I don’t  have any of these modules.

Which version do you have? In my shop it starts more or less one year ago

Search in all modules / overrides the text _PS_MODE_DEV_

Ok, thanks. It seems it comes from the Eventbus module, used by ps_metrics, psxmarketingwithgoogle, ps_facebook and which syncronize data with Prestashop Cloud.

It can also be set by a config/defines.custom.inc.php file. I know this because the one that ships with the PrestaShop docker image has one and it prevents you from saving it in the back office - which in your case might be desirable

It's very naughty if that module changes your site settings and exposes useful information about your site to bad actors.

Not in debug in a file config/defines.custom.inc.php
