COUNTDOWN CLOCK/product page

Hi we have just migrated to PS1.7.6.8. and are experiencing some teething problems.

I have added special prices to certain items and in some cases they appear on the product page with a digital countdown relating to the end date of the offer.  I didn´t request it and it has only appeared on some of the items I reduced.  When I look at the product configuration of the items with and without a countdown clock they look identical.  How can I delete the countdown?

this "problem" is related to the coutdown module: it should be activated on certain categories or single products.

I don´t have a countdown module as far as I know.  It doesn´t appear on my list of modules.
