Okay  this is a heavily modified classic theme that  I am  working with,  as you can  see in the screenshots,  the shopping cart  icon  does not completely disappear when scaling down to  mobile,  and when in the tablet size area, it's simply an  odd colored box floating around in the header. 


It switches out for another cart icon,  but the original  stays there, and doesn't scale down or become switched out. 

I'm  looking for any  ideas on how to  make it completely disappear,  and honestly it's quite likely something I changed,  but I have no idea what(possibly adding another DIV to  the mix broke something)...

...I'd prefer keeping the look  I've already got, adding the background image to  the header is almost a necessity,  so removing my added DIVs, while a last resort option, is definitely frowned upon.
