ZORANVEDEK
Okay, went to reinstall everything to try and fix this, got a notification there was a an update so this is in version 1.7.6.9, and it's still doing it. If anyone can give me a clue as to what might be going on, it would be immensely appreciated. As it stands right now, Prestashop is completely useless for me. I quite literally cannot change any settings that rely on a drop down menu(they are ALL unusable). In other words I can't change much at all, and I have no idea how to go foraward from here... ...updated screen shot from 1.7.6.9:
ZORANVEDEK
Okay, I figured this out, had to roll back the PHP to version 7.3.23... ... it's working now. I'll leave this right here in case someone else needs it--might save them form banging their head against wall for a few hours like I was.
JBW
Even 7.3. is too high and you might face further issues. Prestashop 1.7.6 is officially only compatible up to PHP 7,.

It's working now, but I don't want to run into any more problems if they can be avoided.
