jonamacg83
Hi guys Yesterday we had our hosting upgraded (by GoDaddy) and as part of this the IP address of our website and webshop changed. Everything appeared to go smoothly and the shop appears to function. However, today, I have had email notifications of orders, but they do not appear on the dashboard. It is the first time this has happened. I assume this is something to do with the IP address change, but am not sure - can anyone shed any lioght on this please? Prestashop version is 1.6.1.20 Thanks Jonny Edited May 25, 2020 by jonamacg83 (see edit history)
jonamacg83
Having played around with a lot of different things, this issue gets even stranger. It appears that what is actually happening is one particular PC (my main laptop) appears to not be refreshing either the shop or anything in the back office. If I view on another laptop, phone or tablet etc, everything seems to work fine. I have cleared the cache on the laptop and all the browsing data, logged out and back in, as well s restarting the unit, but it make no difference at all. Has anyone seen this before? As I say, on any other computer it works fine... Thanks Jonny

Website like images, styles etc? Also you can delete the PrestaShop cache as well. Hi - thanks for the response. In the browser (Chrome) I removed: Browsing History Cookies and other site data Cached images and files Site settings Also cleared the Prestashop cache using the button at the top of the 'performance' tab in the back office. Tried different browsers too (IE) and not different. Its almost like its looking at the old database pre migration, but I am pretty sure that is not the case. Alice Wills
Have you tried contacting with Godaddy? If the website is working on one computer and not on other then it is issue with particular device of internet connection. Are you using any cache service on your website such as cloudflare? jonamacg83
Hi guys Turns out there was a hostfile on the PC, which pointed to the old IP address. Took 3 attempts on chat to help but the 3rd guy identified the problem straight away and I resolved within a couple of minutes. Thanks for the help on here Jonny
