1.4 can't checkout

I've upgraded to 1.4 and have had a whole list of bug most of which I have been able to fix however it is still not possible to complete the checkout process.

It wont go past selecting delivery methods. Nothing happens when you hit continue, no error or any indications of problems....just nothing.

Any advice.

Did you get through on the default theme or was it showing the dark theme?

I just switched to the default theme and it works then switched back to the custom theme and this time it gave me an error in the back off. Dono why t was not giving the error before. The theme is missing a config.xml file
