I don't agree, too much security will dramatically slow down your shop, depending on the server power you have and harm your Search Engine Rankings. Efficient protection is done by your host, on the Server level, or even before. Attacks against your Website cant efficiently be blocked like this. You can also not keep someone from stealing product information or copying your site. In my opinion, it increases security risk because you have no clue how good it has been tested and who is actually behind it. I remember quite a few posts in the forum of Modules and Templates that created a security flaw. Prestashop has a solid foundation. I would add an extra security layer on the customer login and newsletter registration but thats pretty much it. This is just my opinion.
