  1. Done that now, apparently the team are aware of this issue and it is fixed with version 1.6.0.9
  2. hmm, I suspected that may be the case. Was worth a try I guess. Perhaps it would be an idea to take the theme for version 1.5 (which is non responsive I believe) and modify accordingly
  3. Actually the thread is already marked as solved, but thanks very much for your reply anyway
  4. Also, just to clarify further (to moderators etc), this issue is something particular to version 1.6.0.8 I did not experience this issue with 1.6.0.6 Thanks
  5. Can I ask the reasons why your client wishes there theme not be responsive? Its not an easy thing to make a fully responsive ecommerce store and what has been achieved in the current default theme is very impressive from a dev point of view. That said, to answer your question:- In the back office, click add new theme top right of theme section. Then at the bottom click create new theme. Important:- in the section where it says 'responsive' choose non-responsive. Hopefully that works for you.
  6. Whilst these are all reasonable points under normal circumstances, since you are not aware of all events that have transpired I would not expect you to fully understand. I would also like to refer people to my earlier comment about 'free'. Free can be more expensive than you think, its just that the cost is not always immediately obvious.
  7. I kind of see your point although there is nothing truly 'free' in this world
  8. Whilst PrestaShop is great and I am loving the new 1.6 version (getting really into it both designing for and using again after a couple of years out) I am not so happy with the PrestaShop forum experience. Is it possible to make an official complaint about a member of the moderating team, or is such not possible? Thanks
  9. Thanks for the response. I am pretty sure it was called Database Cleaner. I have clicked all modules, scrolled down the list and it simply is not there. The thing is the first time this happened on another site I did not give it much credence, but this time I took note as it was a pattern I noticed. I am doing a fresh install tomorrow and will post my findings as it is merely a test dev site anyway.
  10. I think for now a possible way to go about it is this:- 1) copy the default theme to you local machine, then rename, then upload new theme to theme folder (not zipped). 2) Click ADD NEW THEME in admin panel themes section, then click on 'create new theme' at the bottom. 3) Go through the steps and ensure Name of the theme's directory is the same as the new theme name. 4) Copy missing files from existing theme choose default bootstrap. 5) Click save. It should now show in the themes section. This is just a workaround for now..
  11. This is a definite issue. To clarify Version 1.6.0.8 - upon trying to create a theme from default-bootstrap I am experiencing the same.
  12. I am pretty sure (about 90%) that there is an issue with a module that comes with the default install of PrestaShop 1.6.0.8 Upon installing the module and then using to 'clean and optimize' the database the module seems to disappear. Can anybody else confirm if they have experienced a similar issue? (ps, the reason I used this module in the first place was because I was experiencing the issue others have mentioned regarding a new theme not showing in admin after trying to create a fresh theme from the default-bootstrap theme.)
  13. I can confirm this does happen sometimes in v1.6.0.8 even if people are following PrestaShop docs. Also surprised the above user got a warning for what was a valid point, although could have perhaps been worded better. Perhaps the frustration of 'you didn't read the docs' correctly was what annoyed her in this case.
