  1. Hi I had 1.6 running but 1.7 upgrade broke my website. I am starting from scratch. Auto installer for prestashop 1.7 is returning a 404 error. I have tried /installer also, it does not work. I can upload a test txt file fine. I have changed php version to 7.3/4. I have created a new database via Cpanel and deleted all old databases. I
  2. OK so apparently Hostgator (urgh) have a 500mb limit for cpanel restores. I rang them and they took 30 minutes of international call time to tell me I had to use FTP to restore the website - real experts these guys. I managed to gain access to my FTP (FZ), apparently my entire email history is now deleted, and need to know how I restore my full website backup (tar.gz) via Filezilla. I tried to drag across the zipped file - didn't work. I tried to drag an unzipped folder - didn't work. Website address just shows a directory. Backoffice doesn't exist 404. I can't find a guid online. In hindsight, prestashop, hostgator and me being a tech idiot was a rookie mistake. Help!
  3. I tried to upgrade to 1.7 from 1.6 (big mistake) and then tried to reinstall a recent backup. Now my website gives a 500 error, and the backoffice returns an access denied error. I have a spinning puffin icon and a dropdown menu that doesn't load any pages. I tried to change admin password and have changed the php version etc. Nothing has worked. I'm afraid to start completely from scratch because I don't have the knowledge to manually migrate all my old product pages etc. Any ideas?
  4. This first occurred last week. I deleted a backup file via Cpanel and that seemed to solve the problem. Hostgator support suggested I upgrade my hosting plan. Any ideas? Prestashop 1.6
  5. I appear to have a default contact info and blank twitter link in my maintenance page. Why? Is it theme related? Solved it by editing maintenance tpl - took a deep breath and deleted the phone number part then added my proper email address. The twiiter link actually works if you click it, nice touch!
  6. Problem: new customers make orders using voucher codes that I didn't give them access to. I believe the voucher codes are showing up in their carts automatically. For now, I have deleted any open codes in the cart rules section of Prestashop. How can I stop this from happening again?
  7. My save buttons are spinning on a loop, so I can't edit the prices of my products! I upgraded recently to the latest version of Prestashop after being hacked. At first the product changes would save automatically - despite the spinning buttons, now the changes don't save and the buttons keep spinning. I've tried different php servers in Cpanel, not made any difference. Can somebody help?

  9. Ok thanks, I now have the 'enter card details' page showing at checkout, but testing is unsuccessful. I've tried all combinations of live and test mode in both the backoffice and stripe dashboard, I've tried turning off decline unsuccessful cvc check in stripe account settings: I'm using the test credit card numbers from the Stripe website. SSL is enabled, though 'not on all pages'. Am I missing anything?
  10. Hi, yes I changed the api keys and it seems to have solved the problem. Stripe version 2.14.0 I installed it via FTP (filezilla). It's showing up in prestashop but doesn't show up in checkout process. Any tips on installing? I think I just dragged the entire folder and dropped it into Modules.
  11. Just upgraded to 1.6.1.4 Stripe Module is installed but not recognised as a payment gateway: checkout failure: 'no payment gateways are installed'. My website has been in maintenance mode for a week. Need help!!

  13. Thank you. I too have been able to create a new account and log in, but my older accounts do not work. I'm hoping that my registered customers will still be able to use their log in details.
