  1. Thank you for your reply. I solved the problem last May and have had no further problems. The website is up and running now without any issues.
  2. Update. I uninstalled PrestaShop and then reinstalled it. Everything now works as it should.
  3. Update. I uninstalled PrestaShop and then reinstalled it. Everything now works as it should.
  4. Update. I uninstalled and reinstalled it a couple more times and then, suddenly, it started working. I have had no problems since. The website is up and running.
  5. I could not fix problems with the website and no one could give me any answers to my inquiries, so I uninstalled PrestaShop to start over. I have reinstalled it in Free Mode twice and I cannot log into the back office. It tells me "The Employee does not exist, or the password provided is incorrect." I have clicked on Lost Password, and it tells me the email address does not exist. I used the same email address I used when I installed it the first time. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
  6. My website: PrestaShop version 1.6.0.11 Shop URL http://gamehuntergear.com/ Current theme in use Neutral, Hunting and Sports Localhost Website: PrestaShop version: 1.6.0.5 Shop URL: http://127.0.0.1/modules/prestashop/ Current theme in use: neutru-sports The top menu in the localhost version looks the way I want it to look: The top menu in the actual website is totally different: What do I need to do to get the top menu in the actual website to look like the one on my localhost? And how can I edit the top banner to make the background color all the same color? Thanks.
  7. PrestaShop version 1.6.0.11 Shop URL http://gamehuntergear.com/ Current theme in use Neutral, Hunting and Sports I took the shop live and had a friend check it out for feed back. He found two major problems which I have not been able to figure out. First, the search block does not work. When one clicks on the search box, nothing changes. I have a localhost version: PrestaShop version: 1.6.0.5 Shop URL: http://127.0.0.1/modules/prestashop/ Current theme in use: neutru-sports where the search block does work. Additionally, when one clicks on the shopping cart on the website, nothing happens, while one can view the shopping cart on the localhost. What do I need to change and where do I look for it? Thank you.
  8. First, I would use an FTP client to download the folders to you computer, just in case you have to restore them. Then, I would delete all the folders in the cachefs folder. You have nothing to lose, and if you first download them, you can restore them if you have to. but I think the files will be recreated as you access your back office. Good luck.
  9. Did you try deleting the folders inside the cachefs folder? I didn't have very many folders in the smarty folder and left those alone. All I did was to delete the folders in the cachefs folder.
  10. I figured out what the problem was and fixed it! I was looking at the files via webspace explorer in 1&1 for files with dates around the time the website crashed. I found that the folder cache/cachefs was full of files with dates just before, on and after the date the website crashed. Then I searched here in the forum for cachefs and found this topic: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/390174-this-webpage-has-a-redirect-loop/?hl=cachefs&do=findComment&comment=1908453 With nothing to lose, I copied the contents of the cachefs folder to my local hard drive where I keep the working files and then deleted the folders on the server. It worked. All I had to do was upload the files for the theme i had installed since tech support had me delete them, and now everything is working again. Thank all of you for your assistance and encouragement.
  11. Thank you for your reply and the offer. I have spoken with tech support at 1&1 and they are looking into it for me. If all else fails. I will delete everything and start over. It won't take me nearly as long as the first time. Thank you again for your assistance.
  12. This morning, I deleted the .htaccess file after downloading it first in case deleting it did not work. It did not work. My web page still is broken. Any further suggestions? Thank you.
  13. Thank you for your reply. If I understand you correctly, the physical uri should be /kunden/homepages/24/d430286575/htdocs/clickandbulds/PrestaShop/MyeCommerce? Or do I need to simply delete the .htaccess file? Thank you for your patience and assistance.
  14. Thank you for your reply. The store is at https://gamehuntergear.com. I changed the physical uri to "/". Nothing changed. This is the first time I EVER have built any kind of website. I do not know the languages and programming commands. I have no clue what I did or did not do to cause the problem I am having, but I am trying to solve it the best way I can. So, if I ask questions which appear to be stupid, please excuse the ignorance. Should the physical uri be the complete webserver path? Or should it be the target directory? Thank you for your assistance.
  15. Thank you for your reply. All of this is very new to me. This is the first time I ever have built a web page of any kind, and it has stretched me far out of my comfort zone. It took me a while, but I finally figured out what you meant and looked at the table ps_shop_url using the PHPMYADMIN tool. Those settings appear to be correct. This is what it shows: id_shop_url 1 id_shop 1 domain gamehuntergear.com domain_ssl gamehuntergear.com physical_uri /gamehuntergear.com/ virtual_uri main 1 active 1 Is there anything which needs to be changed or do I need to look elsewhere? Thank you.
