  1. Hi there Haylau, Usually you are correct, however there is a small "if" there There is a feature called SNI which will allow you to have as much as SSL certificates you would like on a single IP address. Here is a link to the explanation. You can have only a single IP address per cPanel account, which means that all addon/subdomains for that account will be using that IP address and respectively all SSL certificates installed for any addon/subdomain under that account will also be installed on the very same IP address. So as you can see it all depends on the environment setup from the hosting provider used by Chevalier . Let's not turn this into cPanel discussion and focus on the experienced issue by Chevalier Best Regards, Technical Team
  2. Hi there, When SSL certificate is purchased you need to specify the domain or subdomain for which the SSL certificate needs to be issued. This is a global requirement from the Certificate Authorities which are verifying and issuing the SSL certificate. Keep in mind that if your Prestashop is installed on domain.com you might want to issue the SSL certificate for www.domain.com as it will be valid for both domain.com and www.domain.com. Once the SSL certificate is issued you will probably receive it on your email and you will need to install it on the server. If you are using cPanel then most probably you will need to access the WHM service and from the the Install SSL certificate option. If you do not have access to that location you will need to contact your hosting provider. When the SSL certificate is installed and fully functional you will need to of course enable it via the Back Office -> Preferences -> General. Best Regards, Technical Team
  3. Hi there Negus, You have two options which you can consider as possible solutions. You can upload the files via the FTP service in password protected folder and once the purchase is made you can provide your customer with the URL for the download and the login details for the password protection. You can consider using a VPS service at least so you can increase the value of the max_upload_filesize variable to a value which will suite your needs and so you can be able to upload the files you need via your Prestashop Back Office. 4. Hi there Cyberpunk, If the emails were initially received properly then someone might have marked the email as spam resulting in lowering the reputation of your domain or of the outgoing mail IP address. In order to find out if the domain or if the IP address is blacklisted or marked as spam sender you can simply try to send an email from any of your email accounts via the SMTP service to a gmail account. The purpose of this test is to use an email account to send the email and not the mail function of the Prestashop application. If that test email is also receive in the Spam folder then the issue cannot be resolved within Prestashop as it is related to the blacklisting of the outgoing IP address. If the email is receive properly then you need to simply configure Prestashop with SMTP settings. Another option you can consider as possible solution is that you can sign up for the Mandrill service as it is free for the first 10 000 emails you send and it will ensure the proper delivery of your emails due to the fact that Mandrill is known to be verified sender. Best Regards, Technical Team
  5. If you are using the same configuration on both of the hosts then this might be causing the issue in question since the hostname of the SMTP server might be different than the one you were using on the old server. Also if you are using a subdomain(mail.yourdomain.com or imap.yourdomain.com) please check if there is a DNS zone for the same on the new server and also if it is resolving properly on dig +trace / ping requests. The SMTP configuration is quite straight in the Prestashop Back Office so you should simply check if it is correct for the new host. You can also contact your new host and ask them to provide you with the SMTP settings or to entirely configure the settings for you.
  6. Please check our reply here: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/445839-max-input-vars-maximum-fields/ The customer experienced similar issue.
  7. Hi there Steve, When you turn on the "Enable SSL This is something which you can do on your own if your hosting provider allow you to install SSL certificates but in the common case you need to contact them and check the available options for having such certificate installed for your domain name. Technical Explanation: The issue with the Not Found error is coming from the fact that there is no virtual host for your domain on port 443 but only on port 80. Thus the request is fetching the default rule of the web server for handling requests pointed to domains without virtual hosts on port 443, however the location where the webserver is pointing when such request is received is not the directory where your website is hosted at. Best Regards and kind wishes, FastComet Technical Team
  8. Hello there, We have experienced this issue in the beginning when our customers were installing Prestashop and it happens to be an environment configuration related to the php service. In other words Prestashop does not have any hardcoded values for the max_input_vars and you need to indeed contact your web hosting provider so they can check what is causing this. Typically is some sort of php.ini or .htaccess file placed outside the public_html (or whatever the name of the public folder for your service is). Another option you can consider is just to check if the environment is configured properly by placing a single phpinfo.php file containing the following code: <?php phpinfo(); ?> Next if you access that file you will need to use the search tool of your browser and search for the "max_input_vars" variable so you can check its value. If the value is smaller than you have configured, then you need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to change that for you as we do for our clients.
  9. Hello again, I am glad to hear that everything is working fine now. Good luck with your online shop! Best Regards, FastComet Team
  10. Hello there, If you check your website with Pingdom you will notice that the page is loading for nearly 13 seconds which is indeed dramatic considering the fact that the page is nearly 1.5MB large. In the waterfall view you will see how the redirect your server is performing to www is taking 7 seconds and a broken css of our theme is taking another 4 seconds. This is quite unacceptable and you will need to contact your web hosting provider so they can check what is taking so long about that redirect. I would like to suggest using a CDN also and to move your website on your primary domain and not in the subfolder as it is currently. Best Regards, FastComet Team
  11. Hello, Please check if the .htaccess file located in the home folder of the Prestashop 1.6 application contains any RewriteBase line and if that RewriteBase is /shop as this seems to be the only reason we can think of. Of course the configuration of your Store also matters as you should login into your admin area, navigate to Preferences > SEO & URLs and then check the value of the "Base URL". Best Regards, FastComet Team
  12. Hello there, if you are trying to integrate zopim as a livechat service you can check one of our Prestashop 1.6 tutorials on the matter. If you are trying to integrate some other live chat service I assume that you should put the code of the service just before the closing </body> tag. Best Regards, FastComet Team
  13. Hello janoloco, If the speed is that important to you then you share our conception of how shared hosting should work and how a website should be treated. Please check our Prestashop Hosting package and feel free to contact our Live Chat representatives with any questions you might have. We have perfectly optimized SSD driven web hosting environment and also recently we enabled the most famous used by Prestashop cache engines there (APC/Memcached/XCache). 14. Hello, Choosing the correct hosting provider is not always an easy task. If you choose a shared hosting you should be aware of the fact that all the resource limitation for your account will be for the 3 websites overall. If you choose a VPS again all of the resource will be available for your 3 websites but only for them and you will not need to share any resources with other users. If you choose a dedicated server, well you will get what you need as it will provide a standalone physical server for your websites which means that their performance will be increased. No matter which option you will choose the facts are that you will need to optimize the loading speed of your websites manually especially if you are on VPS or DS. What I can recommend is choosing a hosting provider who will provide you with guaranteed optimized web hosting environment specially for E-Commerce type of web applications. Best Regards, FastComet Team
