  1. wow tat much ? i'll have to start looking around, i'm really tired of all this, feels like im chained whether i like it or not haha, dont mind me ,just ranting away , guess its a bad prestashop experience day for me. and i will stop now so people can focus on reparing their site again
  2. i know what you mean , but these events i am wondering whether it is worth staying on or bailing and look for an alternative , i guess its open source so you cannot really rely on a specific goto company for support tats wat i am saying, or im just unlucky so far looking for a reliable goto specialist. i am soo tired of having to fix try to find solutions one after another! maybe im just more jittery , but its bad for my nerves for sure. But big thanks to the good people of this community fer sure!
  3. yes i just applied and inserted the country line code provided by kind eteralone and it fixed the issue, big thank you ! i am wondering if i should continue using prestashop or switching platforms , this is pretty frustrating for someone who dont know coding, it was good while it lasted i guess, hope it gets better , in the meantime will be looking at alternatives for sure haha.   4. i just used the same address as a successful transaction to try making payment and it returned error as well There’s a problem with your shipping address. Please return to the merchant and update your information, including your city, state, and ZIP code. lauxxx kxxx 3xx 23rd st S 33xxx FL xxxxx address changed but actual address was inserted and also changed the last digit of the house number , both came back with same error. using version paypal 1.3.8 and prestashop1.6.0.9 someone pls help thanks i really dont know what to do rgds charmaine

  6. @ Bellini , thanks and i did call paypal again and their technician did check and said that with the new security upgrade would not affect my customers transactions , they said those affected would probably be notified already i'm told , hope that helps anyone concerned. charmaine
  7. i have also contacted paypal and they said they are having their team look at it from india and it was fixed few hours ago. My site does not use ssl i think ? so would i also be affected with the ssl 256 upgrade if that is the case ? many thanks for the info @el patron. charmaine
  8. Same issue here! nothing changed and using paypal usa 1.3.9 on presta 1.6.0.9 has this error when customers try to pay ' Things don't appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later. can someone help please ? thanks in advance
  9. well the issue came back again , i tried to change an image and cleared cache to see if the page reflected the change and once again i noticed that cache/smarty/cache modules and blocks are not being cached somehow again. , i also checked on the created cache folder under themes and the .css files and the .js files are cached there . Time it takes to load the homepage is sooooo slow again now , can someone help please ? i cant seem to find a solution to this issue so far! help Thanks in advance charmaine
  10. well it was resolved as i tried deleting the theme cache and adding the folder back and miraculously its all good . hope this helps someone as finding solutions can be really daunting sometimes here in the jungle of information. good luck!

Hi All, Ive upgraded to 1.6.1.1 from 1.6.0.8 with the one clk upgrade button and added a new theme thats from prestaaddon compatible with 1.6.1.1( hope thats true) , i had trouble with a fast web page and tried to reduce the loading time from these forum . then i read about clearing the cache and noticed something strange , the cache/smarty/cache folder should have a string of folders and files even after clearing if i remember correctly , but this is not the case in this instance , something is clearly wrong , i hope there is a solution to this , can someone help me as i cannot reopen the store in this state ? smarty is configured with update if template changed and cache is on with file system cache . Please help , any advise is appreciated , thanks in advance . charmaine

I have just migrated to A2 and the live chat gurus are great, unfortunately i had a server connection error and get my ticket has been open from 18 oct till now, i have written to them almost daily now recently, i am so frustrated as the server side configuration and all cannot be accessed and i can't get anyone to assist even if i can. Can anyone help or suggest what i should do ? i cant just sit there and let my business rot, my load time has more that quadroupled from 2 sec to 8-10 sec . one of the crashes caused files to be missing as apparently it was processing a payment at the time and caused all sorts of issue. since then it has been patched up external help. anyone can recommend a course of action please ? i dont know much about comp and really need some help. Who can i complain to and any good hosting anyone can recommend ? this is a nightmare for me. i have already saved the ticket thread and its almost a month! thx in advance charmaine

Hi my store suddenly a few days back loads really slow what usually takes 2-3 secs to load now loads around 8-10secs its stuck on waiting for one request for around 7 secs most of the time and then rest of the request starts loading within 1-2 secs , can anyone provide advise on this ? ( i was using pingdom to check ) my host A2hosting engineers has not been too helpful , all they say is they are investigating but its been days now and nothing. it was running okay for about an hour after tech said they fixed it and then it became slow again . could this be caused by the theme ? as i now have no access to my theme under preferences it goes to a blank screen and http://www.shop.com/mystore/index.php?controller=AdminThemes&token=d7ec04******..... the link shows this. The tech did say he recompiled apache and php.ini i think thats what he said , could this be part of the cause ? can anyone help ? i am not given any definitive time on when they will look at my server ? and i really dont know what to do as i asked if i could hire a coder to come take a look or something and they said that part of the server is restricted ? i feel so helpless now , anyone can provide any advise ? Its becoming a real nightmare. Any help is appreciated . Thanks in advance charmaine

Hi can anyone help, i was trying to access my theme under preferences and now it just goes to a blank page with this link so i really am at a lost here, can anyone help me ? i read about htacess thingy , is tat the cause ? Another question i have is , if i change a theme ( this one is causing me alot of issues ), can i just reconfigure the images to fit my desired size with no issue ? Thanks all in advance. Charmaine.
