  1. Hi El Patron, Thanks for your response, but I'm a little confused by it I'll be honest. In the PS 1.6 documentation, it clearly states the below: On the other hand, you can have as many shops on one domain name as you want: Using subdomains: http://men.example.com/, http://women.example.com/, http://kids.example.com/, http://pets.example.com/, etc. IconDo not create any subdomain or subfolder yourself, either on your server or your computer: PrestaShop takes care of creating the path for you on your server. When the customer requests this path, PrestaShop will recognize the shop and serve the files and data for the correct store automatically. I'm just not sure how to make Prestashop 'create the subdomain ...' within the parameters of the multishop configuration area. Can you please give me a bit of a step by step? Or, contra to the documentation, do I need to do something additional outside of Prestashop, like create the sub domain in cPanel? Any help with this confusing and slightly annoying matter would be very much appreciated! Thanks lock-e73
  2. Hi all, I've read many articles on this recently, but none are able to give specific instructions about how to do this. I'd like to have multistore running on a sub domain, not a sub folder, a sub domain. Default store: mydomain.com.au Sub domain. sub.mydomain.com.au NOT Sub folder: mydomain.com.au/sub I've set a parked domain in cPanel of sub.mydomain.com.au, and multistore runs, however it runs as a sub folder (see attached screenshot). Can anyone tell me how to make Prestashop multistore recognise a sub domain - sub.mydomain.com.au? I don't want to have to install another full version to the sub, as that would defeat the purpose of having multistore! Please help. Cheers, lock-e73
  3. Hi all, We're running a stock version of Prestashop 1.6.0.5, which uses product variations in a drop down menu on all products. The variations are for dollar amounts for the gift cards we sell. The drop down menu works fine in all browsers except the Android 'stock' browser on mobile phones - eg: Samsung Galaxy SIII - which is just called 'Internet' in the applications list. This problem has been referenced in this post: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/329751-category-and-cart-dropdown-problem/ and this post: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/324654-select-variations-from-product-list/ However I can't find a solution presented by anyone that fixes this specific problem. What actually happens on screen is that when the variation drop down is tapped, the choices pop up from the bottom of the screen for about 1/4 of a second then disappear again, therefore not allowing a selection to be made. I have absolutely no idea where to even look for the solution, but am guessing (after reading many other posts) that is it something in a 'js' file somewhere causing the problem. If anyone has come across this same problem and managed to fix it I'd really appreciate the sharing of this knowledge, along with a reasonably detailed account of what and where files need to be updated and/or changed! Many thanks in advance, Lachlan
  4. Hi El Patron, Wish I'd found your module first! Looks like a perfect fit for what I need. I'll see if I can get authorisation to use yours instead and perhaps 'return' the one I've purchased! How much 'hacking' do you think would be involved in making what I have already work? Thanks, lock-e73
  5. Hi el Patron, Thanks for your response. I've purchased 'Module Private Shop' ( http://addons.prestashop.com/en/administration-tools-prestashop-modules/6257-private-shop.html ) which I'm guessing is not yours unfortunately. Cheers, lock-e73
  6. Hi PhpMadman, Thanks for your quick response. That certainly looks like it! I'm a bit of a noob with php so please excuse my next question. If I comment out the line (165 in classes/Customer.php) the account gets created in backoffice which is perfect, however when I add a password to it and save then attempt to log in to the website (front) I get the below error: There is 1 error Authentication failed I'm obviously totally missing something here! So close to what I need!! Any further help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, lock-e73
  7. Hi, I'm using PS1.5.6.2 with standard theme installed. I'd like to make the password field NOT mandatory/required when creating an account in front office and comment it out, therefore forcing a manual password input and completion of the account creation process in the backoffice. I need to assign each user to a group to limit the categories they can see BEFORE they log in and this is the only way I can think of to do that. I've purchased the 'Private Shop' module for Prestashop (using PS 1.5.6.2) which allows you to 'force' a user to login to your shop ... perfect so far. Unfortunately, as per normal account creation process, once the account and password is set up you can log in to the site straight away. This is why I need the password field to be marked as NOT required/mandatory and commented out in the account creation section. Is this possible or even the best way to go about this ... ? I've managed to edit authentication.tpl in themes/default to comment out the mandatory password field, but it also needs to be marked as 'false' somewhere else ... and I have no idea where! I'm getting the error: There is 1 error password is required. Please help! Thanks, lock-e73

  9. Please help! Standard install of PS 1.5.6.2 with default theme. Australian localisation pack installed and all 'Taxes' disabled except 'GST AU 10%'. The only 'Tax Rule' enabled is 'AU Standard rate (10%)'. I'm in the same boat as all above. See below screenshots: http://www.bizbenefits.com.au/Taxes.JPG | http://www.bizbenefits.com.au/Taxes2.JPG http://www.bizbenefits.com.au/Tax_Rules.JPG | http://www.bizbenefits.com.au/Tax_Rules2.JPG You can see in the last screenshot above 'Tax_Rules2.JPG' the SQL error code: Bad SQL query Unknown column 'a.active' in 'where clause' Screenshot here shows pricing with the Tax Rule implemented but showing same price both before and after Tax! http://www.bizbenefits.com.au/Incorrect_Price.JPG Please help me out here as I have no idea what's going on. If you need any further information let me know! Cheers, lock-e73
