Hi, I'm interested in you subject. I'm looking to do the same things too , it's seems not easy to be able to control resources rights using an authentification... I don't want, and I'm sure you too, any customer with the api key able to see every customer private informations. If you find a way... let me know , i'll do the same.

Bonjour à tous, je me permet de vous consulter concernant l'utilisation des webservices. actuellement en développement d'une application android , j'utilise les webservices de prestashop afin de récupérer certaines informations , notamment la liste des articles avec les descriptions , avec succès. néanmoins je me heurte à plusieurs difficultés, relative à la sécurité. - dans mon application j'enregistre la clé du webservice , qui est par conséquent utilisé pour effectuer l'accès au webservice. cette clé me permet d'accéder à la ressource customer notamment, mais elle me permet d'accéder à la totalité des informations des customer (afin de ressortir l'info que pour un customer , on pourrais utiliser les filtres, mais cela ne protègerait pas l'accès à la liste de tout mes clients si dans mon navigateur je saisissait la clé sans filtre) j'aimerai savoir si à votre connaissance , il serait possible qu'un paramètre d'identification par le couple email / mot de passe ou hash puisse limiter l'accès aux ressources uniquement de l'utilisateur identifié. Je suis ouvert à toute suggestion. Bon prestashop à tous.

HI, I don't really understand what you are looking for ? hypothesis : 1 category with 1000 products. You want to retrieve the 1000 products id,name, descriptions,prices or you only want to have the count of them , so the number 1000 return. cause for the first one , it's webservice with filters and for the second one it's webservice with parameters and maybe with necessary creating a counting one. you can refer to the chapter 8 of the prestashop documentation (advanced use) of the webservices.

There is for sure some android application who's using prestashop webservice to provide data to their application , you can easily find them at the play store of google , like PrestaShopMobile from eMagicOne for example. 2. You can have the list of products of category from the webservice using the &filter , and after that you can count the result cause is the length of your active result in you android code. 3. You can create a listview and parsing the result from your webservice request for example.
