  1. Hi, I had the same spinning save buttons issue, unable to edit, save or create any new products (my Prestashop 1.6.1.1). Back office extremely slow over the last month or so, put it down to slow browser/computer. Then needed to create new product... nightmare, unable to edit anything. Product tabs in back-office wouldn't load at all, and would eventually time out with Check your server message popping up. Deleted modules and disabled stats, but no joy. As probably many of you have done I searched the forums, read Top man Nemo's posts, tried all sorts of fixes but no joy. Couldn't upgrade to latest 1.6.1.x version as have made too many mod's to site & template, which would vanish on upgrading (learn't that lesson the hard way!). Best solution seemed the Official Prestashop release of 1.6.1.9 and to manually update the patch files (http://build.prestas...enance-release/). Did that and cleared cache in Prestashop & browser, but no fix for me (left altered files - 9 of them). Continued searching web for another fix (or else I would have to as a last resort replace all js, admin, class directories with the ones from 1.6.1.9) and found this discussion on a similar issue back in April 2015 (slow Back-Office / modules page etc) : http://stackoverflow...ing-very-slowly See link to Github patch file: https://github.com/P...d674189abc19493 Uploaded the complete version of the file classes/controller/AdminController as shown on github. Cleared cache on Prestashop (Advanced Parameters/Performance) and in browser. DING DANG DO... unbelievable, spinning wheels gone, couldn't believe my eyes! Back Office the quickest it's ever been. RESULT! Hope this is the solution you've been looking for? Seems there is not one solution to fix all with this problem. Recap: Manually update the 9 patch files from Prestahop release - http://build.prestas...enance-release/ github: https://github.com/P...aShop/pull/6749 Replace: classes/controller/AdminController file with the one below: Github patch file: https://github.com/P...d674189abc19493 CLEAR Prestashop cache & browser cache.

  5. Hi "Outlet Store", I feel your pain as I remember having a similar issue when adding the tabs like 1.5 . Now it was over a year ago... but it could be worth looking at the excellent tutorial by Vekia at MYPRESTA on creating the tabs like 1.5, and in particular the section towards the end on "Compability with other modules" : https://mypresta.eu/en/art/prestashop-16/product-tabs.html That did the trick for me. Hope it helps, and many thanks to Vekia for all his helpful work! Cheers, Matt http://www.bighedz.com
  6. ronny_g you are an absolute STAR! Thank you for posting your PayPal / Payment issue in detail, and even more importantly updating it with the solution. I've been tinkering with my site for well over a year, and thought I'd seen everything there is in the "Back Office", but I never registered "Payment" title under modules as anything more than a quick link to the payment modules. Which is what it is, unless you scroll down and see all the settings!!! Note to Prestashop : The settings should feature first in my opinion, not all the ads for payment modules! If anyone else out there is having trouble accepting payments from other countries, then check out the settings in the link MODULES > PAYMENT Also make sure you have the different countries you wish to sell to enabled within localization > Zones , and Localzation > countries. Also make sure that you have a shipping carrier set-up (completely with no missing weight gaps! or else you'll get "FREE Shipping" shown to customers when it isn't!) activated to ship to the Zones you have enabled. Thanks again Ronny! Cheers, Matt. (My store is using : Prestashop 1.6.1.1)
  7. I had the same issue. Re-installed module + reset etc & didn't work. But then thought I'd try a different email to send to and changed it in 2 places. First: Mails Alert Module - configure - change email address Second: Advanced Parameters - email - Under Test your email configuration - change email address. Clicked Test Email and bish bash bosh it worked! Now I knew it worked, and I remember reading somewhere that gmail accounts linked to domains through google apps throw up an error on your PHP server settings. Then found this : https://support.google.com/a/answer/55299?hl=en Contacted Host to check settings were correct etc. They noted that the Mail routing was set to "local" in Cpanel (Not changed to "local" by me). I'm guessing they change it to something else? (It seems you can set it either: automatic/local/remote/backup) and it's all working! RESULT! This link may help someone, or ask your host to get it sorted! https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/where-does-cpanel-store-a-domains-mail-routing-selection-automatic-local-remote-backup.449471/ Hope that helps someone else? Now time to finally get my site "Live!" Cheers, Matt. my shop: www.bighedz.com
  8. cnpark70, thanks for sharing that you've managed to get Product Tabs like 1.5 in 1.6.1.1 (using default-bootstrap theme) That is GREAT to know that it is possible, so many of us having difficulty in getting it to work properly in 1.6.1.1 , would you mind sharing your product.tpl file? Thanks in advance, Matt.
  9. Hi Vekia, Thanks for the tutorial, got it working in 1.6.1.1 , but do have one issue. On product pages only, the top horizontal menu no longer drops down showing the menus etc on hover..? I used the product.tpl from this link: http://pastebin.com/1msXe6KP Has anyone else had this problem? Did you manage to fix? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Matt.
  10. In the end I have upgraded Prestashop to the latest version 1.6.1.1 and the problem has now dissapeared, GREAT... but now have new issue... I hope someone can help? I'm using the default theme. Customers can't upload images greater than 1.6mb through the Product Customization field? I have 3 fields for uploading images, and if you upload 3 images all at once at 1.5mb they will upload and show as previews (also on server in "upload" directory). Thanks to El Patrons ini.file module (FREE) I've checked server specs and all seems well above 20mb upload. The preferences within Back Office are also above 10mb (Preferences>Images & Admin>Preferences) so don't know what else it can be. I have error reporting on, and nothing shows as a debug error. An error does come up within the web page (part of the theme) : There is 1 error An error occurred during the image upload process. If I upload an image as attachment through the "Contact Us" page then the size is slightly bigger at 1.9mb, but anything bigger doesn't appear with the message in the Back Office, and no error message shows. Please if anyone has any suggestions to fix this it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Matt.
  11. Hi GReyesP, Did you ever find the solution to this problem? I have the same issue, I can upload images to around 1.6mb (and 2 or 3 at a time - I have 3 Image upload fields on product page), but any single file over 1.6mb doesn't show. Like you I've checked all my preferences in Prestashop back office, and all are well above 1.6mb, and my server specs are again like yours well above the required to upload an image over 20mb. What can be the problem? If you did find a solution, I would really appreciate your reply. Thanks, Matt.
  12. Quick update on my post above : I think I've worked out what has happened, I made an edit to the code somewhere(?) to change the size of the image preview when an image is uploaded within product customization. I remember changing the size and now think I changed it twice by accident, which is why both the image preview & the uploaded image are the same size. Could someone please tell me which folder/file alters the Image Preview size? It would be much appreciated as I've looked everywhere and can't find the code. Thanks, Matt.

  14. Hi All, this forum topic seems the closest thing to an issue I'm having with images uploaded within Product Customization shrinking in size once uploaded. But I have checked all the settings & preferences within the back office, and checked the php ini.file settings (thanks to El Patron's free module) but no joy! I'm having some difficulty in finding the answer to this problem. I need customers to upload image files for their personalised items, and this function seems to work well in front office, with images uploading & the preview bring shown. They show at checkout and the customer can complete their order. The images also show up in the preview section of the order in the back office, but when clicked on to download the files have been shrunk from 1 or 2mb to just 4 or 5kb..?? If I look in the "upload" folder via FTP there shows 2 files for each image uploaded, with one having the prefix of "small" added, but both files are the same size at 4 or 5kb. One image I guess is supposed to be "small" for the preview, but why is the other not the full size uploaded image? Any help much apppreciated. I have looked through the forum and can't find anyone who has had a similar problem. I'm using the default bootstrap theme in 1.6.0.14. Hoping it is a minor tweak to some code somewhere, or a module that needs re-setting... Thanks in advance to any forthcoming help. Cheers, Matt.
