Unfortunately, not for every one Luckily I backed up all my stuff before I upgraded so I an just go back to 1.5.4.1 - and I won't be trying another upgrade until this is no longer an issue. I know Prestashop is free, open source, whavever you want to call it, but fixes like this are work arounds - the core problem still exits because the 'program' (if I can call it that) causes an issue that this fix does not solve universally. Perhaps this is something that the Prestashop team can look at fixing/correcting in their next update. I am sure that I am not the only one that is still having an issue and these quick fixes do not work for.

Nope it doesnt. There are about 5 different solutions in different threads, and none of them worked. Obviously there is something ese happeing here but i am recreating my store at present because I cannot afford for my store to be ofline for this long while people try and find little fixes (that don't always work) and don't actually 'fix' the core problem. Put it this way - I'm glad that worked for one person, but why would the date that the images are uploaded make a difference? I even tested making a new product and that didn't work either Why should i have to edit this each time I put a new product in my store? 1.5.4.1 works, so I'll stick with that version until an upgrade comes along with NO major reported isues. YES this is a MAJOR issue.

That option did not work for me, and i added a new product to see if that worked, and THAT image doesnt show on the frint end either. ll images are stil showing in the back end though ...
