It will work but I wanted feedback on any issues I will face like the custom modules calls in the database you mentioned.

I know that an upgrade will not remove custom files, but it will upgrade the database to the newer, then I can move the database to a new install of the same upgraded version and have a clean install. I basically want to be left with the closest thing to a new uncustomized install.

I have a store that is 1.6.0.6 can I upgrade that to 1.6.1.6 then do a fresh install of 1.6.1.6 in a different location and copy over the database giving me a clean install?

Is there a way to deactivate the accounts of inactive users, say for examples users who have not logged in this year. Can this be done with an SQL query?

I get the same results, click the 'men' tag returns products with a Men tag but also products with measurements and parliament tags

That's the issue the products with the measurement tag don't have a men tag, I assume that it's returning them because the word measurement has men in it.

I'm trying to regenerate thumbnails but it keeps timing out and then I try again with Erase Images set to No. But is there a way I can get some kind of progress report on which images have been regenerated and which ones haven;t I kind of get the feeling I am going around in circles. I don't mind writing a SQL query if someone know if the is a field that tells you if/when and image was regenerated. Thanks

Hello all, I have the tags keywords on my product page, and when I click on say the 'men' keyword it returns products from the Mens category but also any product that contains men in the tag e.g. measurement. I have tried playing about with the search settings, but to no avail.

All the products are accessories to each other, so sorting them wouldn't help.

Hello all, I'm trying to import some products into PS and it works fine except for the Accessories field, it will not add accessories for products that do not exists at the point of import. So if Product1 has an accessory Product2, it will not add Product2 as the accessory when importing Product. So I have to run the import twice once to create the products and the second time for the accessories. Is there any way to import accessories even though the accessory has yet to be created?

Hello all, I want to set up a new store that will deal with digital downloads, the two main requirements are 1. Downloadable products with combinations 2. Import and export capability compatible with point 1. I know these aren't natively in PS, but has anyone used any module(s) that give a store this functionality?

Hello all, Does anyone know what the maximum number of products PS is designed for?

It seems the solution is; from the Conditions tab, tick Product selection and choose the categories/products which you want the discount to apply to, then from the Actions tab under 'Apply a discount to' select Selected products(s) this then applies the discount to only the product within the categories/products you selected in the Conditions tab.

Hello, In previous versions of PS under voucher codes you could select the categories for which the voucher code applied to, and the discount would apply to products within that category but not other categories. But i can't see how to do this under PS 1.6. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks J
