  1. Hi Haylau, If you're in the UK then it means it's working. However, I still see ''free shipping'' even after clearing the cache/smarty cache on prestashop and clearing the cache on google chrome. Any other ideas? :/
  2. Hi Haylau, Are you in the UK? If so, then that IS correct. If you are NOT in the UK, then it is wrong. What is even more confusing is that I AM in the UK, yet I see ''free shipping''. Does that mean there is a bug? Thanks so much for the help by the way.
  3. Dave, I understand its voluntary and I am very greatful for that. I do feel that I have been polite, albeit frustrated with the fact that the whole issue of shipping is handled extremely poorly by prestashop. One would think that they would work it out with every update, but they do not. Further, the fact that one pays for a product (prestashop software) yet is expected to receive support only in the form of helpful community members, unless one pays for technical support, is, in my opinion, ridiculous. I appreciate what you're trying to say though. Haylau: Thanks for the reply! My prestashop version is 1.5.6.2. The URL is: www.stilllivelucky.com (I will happily grant someone with temp. login details to have a look if they like) I did that because apart from t-shirts, I also sell other items at varying prices. Because all my t shirts are at £48, I decided to make that range so that the cost would only apply to the t shirts.
  4. Has nobody got an idea? I find it ridiculous that this is supposed to be a support forum and yet this is so overlooked. There are countless others who have this SAME exact problem, not to mention how horrifically bad the whole ''shipping'' issue is with regard to Prestashop. I really need some help and would really appreciate any helpful guidance in the right direction.
  5. Has nobody got any idea of what I should do? This is quite urgent. Any help would be very, very appreciated
  6. Hi all, I have spent the last 4 hours trying to make this work, so if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it! I have a specific type of product on my website. The product is T-SHIRTS. ALL my t shirts have the same price (£48). I've been trying to set 3 specific shipping costs for the t shirts for: THE UK (£5.20), EUROPE (£10.25) and THE USA/REST OF THE WORLD (£12.60). Based on some advice, I did the following: I created a NEW ZONE. I named this NEW ZONE 'UNITED KINGDOM'. I then created a NEW COUNTRY. I named this new country 'UNITED KINGDOM' (I also filled in all the necessary information). I then clicked ''states'' and proceeded to spend 2 and a half HOURS filling in EVERY COUNTY in the UNITED KINGDOM (with ISO codes) and linking them to COUNTRY > UNITED KINGDOM, ZONE > UNITED KINGDOM. I then created a NEW CARRIER. Because all my t shirts have the same price (£48) I did: Shipping will apply when: >=£48, <£49. I then selected ONLY the NEW ZONE (UNITED KINGDOM) and clicked SAVE/FINISH. The shipping cost however IS STILL NOT BEING APPLIED. Can someone PLEASE help me? I would be very, very grateful.
  7. Hi Paulito, Well I've decided to do the following: I wanted different shipping rates for UK, EUROPE and US/INTERNATIONAL. I decided to make a NEW ZONE, called UNITED KINGDOM. I enabled this zone and then assigned the country ''United Kingdom'' to the ZONE UNIED KINGDOM. I then created a new carrier which is ONLY for shipping to the zone UNITED KINGDOM with a shipping cost of £5. When I add a product to my cart however, the shipping cost is NOT applied. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you!
  8. Hi Paulito! I could do that, but the problem would remain that under ''additional shipping cost'' only one value can be entered, when I would actually need 3 different values (shipping cost for: UK, EUROPE and US). EDIT: I understand what you mean, so basically make use ''additional shipping cost'' to make up the difference and achieve different values per region? Wouldn't that take a very long time? Especially considering I'm trying to set the cost per specific ITEM. Isn't there an easier way? I sometimes genuinely wonder why the 'eBay' model wasn't followed (eg. set a value for shipping in your own country, shipping to Europe and shipping worldwide). It's so much simpler.
  9. Hi all, I wonder if you can help me. I'm trying to set a postage/shipping cost per item. After a bit of searching, I realized that if I set all ''carrier'' parameters to 0, then I could go to ''Additional Shipping Cost'' on the specific product page, enter a value (eg. £6), and then only that value would be used as a shipping cost. My problem is, I want to do this, with different values for different regions. For example, one type of product I sell is a t shirt. I want the shipping cost of a t shirt WITHIN the UK to be £6.00. Within Europe/The E.U £10.25 and to the US/WORLDWIDE - 12.60. Is there any way I can set the shipping cost per product (like I have done with ''Additional shipping cost''), but add additional values for the EU and the US? I tried creating a new carrier, then adding a new ''additional shipping cost'' value and selecting the carrier, but you can only have ONE 'additional shipping cost' value. I basically wonder if there is any way I can do this? Please let me know. Thanks very much.
  10. Hi, I was editing my categories (adding descriptions, embedding a video). I then clicked 'SAVE'. Next thing I know, I try to access my front end only to be greeted by 'INTERNAL SERVER ERROR 500'. I cannot no longer access my front page. I can access the back office, and see that all my categories that I worked hard on (and uploaded numerous products to) have disappeared! Can anyone please help me? My site is: www.stilllivelucky.com I can provide admins with my sign in details to take a look (i'm not very code-abled). Please help me. Thanks.
  11. Hi, Basically, I had a test order go through. Paid for the item (cost of 2 gbp plus postae of 6gp = 8). This went through fine and the money hit my paypal. When I went into back-office to observe the order, it said that the TOTAL AMOUNT SPENT SINCE REGISTRATION was 12.10 gbp. This is completely rong and I have no idea where prestashop got this figure from. I've seen on google that numerous people have this problem, yet no one seems to have resolved it. Attached is a screenshot. Any help?
  12. Vekia, the hosting company says there is nothing wrong with the site on their end and kindly ask that you try and load the site again, or alternatively use a proxy? That's all they had to say. I just added more info to the category description, and for some reason, every time I start a new line, the space between the text is HUGE. Any other suggestions as to how this can be edited? You have my ftp and bo details, is there no way you can help?
  13. Im contacting my host now. I will let you know.
