  1. Hi, I am trying to set up VAT for version 1.7 When I sell two different products in the same cart with a different VAT rate, for example: Bottle of wine VAT 19% Bottle of water VAT 5% I then need to charge VAT on their shipping cost. If the shipping before VAT is €7 (€5 for the wine and €2 for the water) I need to charge shipping including VAT: €7 x 1.19 + €2 x 1.05 I know that you could set a vat rate for the carrier but this does not help as I need two separate VAT/tax rates for the same carrier depending on the rate at which the product is charged. Any help please?
  2. I upgraded to 'PayPal Europe Official v3.10.2 - by PrestaShop' but the problem with payments from Russia persists. The error messages I get are like: PayPal response:TIMESTAMP -> 2015-11-15T16:22:52ZL_ERRORCODE0 -> 10001L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Internal ErrorL_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Internal ErrorL_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error Any ideas?
  3. Hi Simonas Invertus, Thanks for the feedback. We now had several suggestions/comments from various sources and we need to think which of these we will act upon. Tim
  4. I would suggest to refer to the USER GUIDE for version 6 to make sure that you are doing both actions correctly: 1. For the homepage slider: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/First+steps+with+PrestaShop+1.6#FirststepswithPrestaShop1.6-Configureyourshop%27sinformation 2. For adding products to categories: http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS16/Managing+Products Hope this helps.
  5. User friendly 'Addons' website with downloadable free and paid modules and themes including old versions.
  6. There are two separate modules in Modules > Front Office Features. One is called 'Home text editor' and the other 'Image slider for your homepage'. These are both default modules that should automatically be there after you install Prestashop on your server. If they are not there you should check your installation for errors or re-install.
  7. We never had this particular issue with PayPal but in relation to different PayPal errors we found that these were resolved when we used a more updated version of the PayPal module compatible with our Prestashop version.
  8. Hi innovacy, Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on our store. Your comments are much appreciated and we will get to work on them. Tim
  9. Hi Gary, Prestashop automatically resizes images to the default sizes. But if your original images are way off default then you will get issues with image quality (for example if your original images are too small). Tim
  10. Hi Gary, If you have just started with with Prestashop go to Preferences > Images. There you will see a list of the default image sizes.I would recommend to keep the default sizes unless you have a really compelling reason to change to different sizes. Hope this helps. Tim
  11. Hi Guys, I would appreciate your feedback on any aspect of my store after having installed a new theme, SSL, done some SEO work, etc. The store URL is: https://foodfromcyprus.com/ Thank you in advance for your help. Best Regards, Tim
  12. In your general Prestashop settings (Preferences > Orders) have you enabled 'guest checkout'? If your customer checks out as a guest he does not need to go through the full customer registration.
  13. Try a newer version of the PayPal module that is compatible to the Prestashop version that your shop is built on.
  14. We receive PayPal payments from many countries around the world and in many different currencies without any trouble. With PayPal payments from Russia we always get problems and our customers have to place their order several times (3 - 4 times) until their PayPal payment actually goes through. Their payment is successful in the end if they are persistent and they do not give up after several unsuccessful attempts. I am sure that there is nothing wrong with our set up or PayPal account as the payment does eventually come through without us needing to change anything. The error messages received in the cases when the payment is not successful are something like this: PayPal response:TIMESTAMP -> 2015-10-09T08:31:33ZL_ERRORCODE0 -> 10001L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Internal ErrorL_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Timeout processing request Any idea what could be causing this? Does anybody else have a similar problem? Thanks for your time.
