  1. So having come back to look at the new Prestashop (1.7.2.2) Having minor experience with previous version (forget which would assume it was 1.6.x ). I have come to a wall that will more than likely make me turn around and not use PS. Importation of data. Separating the creation of Categories ( and Manufacturers) from a product file I can live with - though IT SHOULD NOT be the case. It should be a simple Parent Cat and Sub Cat header. So if a category isn't in the system it will create it automatically and correctly and NOT create a SUB cat as a MAIN cat (as it does now) But this isn't the BIG issue. The big issue is just how the system fails at combination/attributes/matrix-es. I just realized to import combinations for products you must first create the "master" product and then look up the ID # created by the DB for that product and use this instead of your own reference ID for product. I cant express how much I want to "squish the heads" of the coders who thought this to be OK. Especially with NO native EXPORT function. Didnt previous version(s) have this? So a small store with a few thousand item's that are combination item's turns into a monstrous amount of time just to get product into the system. And hopefully I input the correct parent ID or even more time to fix. I had assumed I could at least use the master products Reference ID instead of DB product ID. No errors but also no changes to products. Noticed there is a select option for simple vs option within the product page but there isnt an input filed listed for this for CSV import. So maybe it can work that way but the DOC's don't clearly show how?

  3. Test importing 1 single product. Import occurs with no errors and reports the ID as to what it should be. Then when I look at Product List it is not showing product with said ID. It is just assigning the next numerical #. If I import exact same product again. It does not error out. Again says everything AOK and list the forced ID # correctly. - it should not do this since I already imported said ID. (the force ID) Cant move forward as there are no errors to work off of.
  4. Have been reading all the woes in the forum(s) about email issues and I still haven't found a solution. Both Advanced parameters/Email and also Customer Service. First - Email. PHP works - I receive the test email. SMTP fails no matter what I tired. I even created a gmail account to test. Failed also. Note that I made 100% sure that the email within Preferences/Store Contacts is the same. I even deleted and recreated that info. So even though the PHP setting successfully sends an email. Customer service replies do not. Of course - just like everyone else it looks as though it has within said page. No actual email received. IMAP settings set - Sync returns "sync success" Help ...

  6. So there are more than a few threads in regards to this bug. But for reference Im referring to the fact that CMS Block module does not work correctly. See image one for reference. Now if we replace /themes/yourtheme/modules/blockcms/blockcms.tpl with this version: https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/blob/1052a92e6097312407005392d4b9731c3389d23a/themes/default-bootstrap/modules/blockcms/blockcms.tpl It works correctly EXCEPT that it changes the layout controls (position and look) See picture 2 Can someone fix it to where it handles correctly and also - add to newest PS version so others dont have to go through this? (11-5-14) Aplogies - didn't notice when i OG posted that it didnt upload the 2nd picture. I have corrected this. So now you will understand what I was talking about.
  7. Couldnt let this go. Driving me nuts. The only thing I had done was reset the CMS Block trying to see if it would fix itself (About Us etc not showing) And even though it (CMS Block) wasn't showing in Left and Right columns (which is should when reset) it was Hooked into those columns so the fix was to Unhook them.
  8. So the setting of 12 images per page was / is used. It was all good with a 4 x 3 grid pattern. Taking up Left and Center. All of a sudden it has changed to a 2 x 6 pattern. On the Category pages is doesnt show the 4th picture. Just blank (same 2 x6 grid pattern) Center set instead of left set. Cant figure out why this happened Nor how to change it back. No files edited.

  11. Well no replies... But tonight I came across a similar post (searched before... love gremlins) So it handles this via "Combinations" Very tideous but works to a degree. I have PS to not show OT OF STOCK attributes. This should be able to be PER PRODUCT! What happens to those items you dont track by stock levels? So on the test proudct I setup, I have 3 colors availabe in a few sizes. It shows 3 color "cubes" and has a drop down for sizes. You have to select each size to find out if its in stock per color way. (OK... ) SO 2 things. First How to have it list color and beside that a list of available sizes for that color ONLY ? The other is how to have PICTUREs of the other other color ways and not the default color block? PS seesm to fail like every other OS Ecomm app. That the people who create never used a POS system. A matrix system is a must for softgood and most hard good retail. Now Im not dogging it or them. Just stating somthing. Hell even high priced ones don't do it. I spent 2 years awaiting Light***** and purchased 2 Macs to find out they didnt incorperate this ... So my store would go from 5000 items to 500000.... Anyone want to give me an old version of 360commerce?
  12. So I am looking at PS after coming across EK-Si POS. Going through the demo. I do not see the ability to apply matrixes. If you don't know what that is. It is a way to asociate Size, Color, etc to a product and it itself is tracked as an indiviual item. Example - TShirt. Print A (Sku on invoice/order form,PO is COPA01) You have the shirt in 3 different colors (Blue, Red, Grey) and 5 different sizes per color. (SM,MED,LG, XL,XXL) (Small,Medium,Large,Extra Large,Extra-Extra Large) Each comes Prelabeled with an identifier tag. Tag has a the SKU and a UPC. Even though the SKU is the same per Size/Color. UPC is different per color per size. So each one is tracked as stock. 1 Product - 15 different UPC's attached to thier respective attribute/value Does this exist in PS or available as an add on anywhere?
