As I didn't get an answer about this before, this was the best I could do. I agree it must be some bug...

I have no idea, but thankfully I was able to delete all of it, I re-uploaded all of the files, making sure that is all that is there. It took a bit of time, though. When I upload new files now, I check the database at the same time.

Log into your cPanel, select phpMyAdmin, select the folder your shop is in, scroll down to ps_product_download, then delete the files. Hope this helps.

I have been informed by my host that I have exceeded the database limit and it seems that the ps_product_download database is causing the problem, with millions of entries. I have under 200 virutal products. What do I have to do to reduce this?

Yes, I got that worked out, but don't know how to do the buttons. I want to have both Paypal and 2Checkout buttons, if possible.

Vekia, I just realised that I have 2CheckOut, but I don't know how to install it on Prestashop 1.5.4. I haven't used the account for over a year, but it is still valid.

I am sorry, but cannot give you an answer there - I never used the Test mode. Don't you want to try running it live and see what happens?
