  1. We seem to be leaving too many things vague and unclear in the existing modules .... all this for a mad rush to implement updates with new features? How come we still do not have one SOLID prestashop working platform. Errors are fine but as you can see, the error reporting modules are still kiddish.
  2. Got an email on my prestashop email address that Paypal flagged an error when the shopping cart was being accessed. Opened the email and found nothing about the error code or other details, am pasting the email contents below Hi, Error reporting from your PayPalAPI module A client has encountered a problem with the module PayPalAPI, see the report: http://www.jewelat.com/shop/ powered by PrestaShop™ Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Jewelat
  3. Hello I went through the forum titles and thought that my post should be placed here, excuse me if I understood wrong. Installed prestashop, installed payment .... then when I see the product screen on chrome the 'Paypal Express Checkout' icon seems to get swallowed by the footer. So a visitor cannot use express checkout. If I see it in Firefox it seems okay. Please help and let me know what needs to be done. Here is the product page as an example, see it in Chrome and you will know what I mean, http://www.jewelat.com/shop/earrings-gold-silver-01/477-6mm-stud-earrings-swiss-blue-topaz-gold-786.html Thanks in advance for your help. 4. Thanks it works now, this is what I did. I did regenerate around 2 to 3 times ... the connection to the server crashed twice - i did reindex again and selected delete existing images. All was fine after that. Thanks for all the help. Jewelat
  5. Yes I did regenerate and that happened without any kind of time-out error too. Just made an interesting observation, this same problem does not occur when i check the same site and the same item on an 8 inch tablet, the images scroll and appear fine. Please provide some other suggestions and I can try them at my end. Thanks in advance for your help. Jewelat
  6. I upgraded prestashop, got through the obstacles and started importing new products. Images are uploaded and linked manually. While some of the new products added show thumbnails, some do not seem to be showing them. Please help. If you access the link below, there is a scrolling list of items at the problem. Scroll through around half a dozen items and suddenly the thumbnails show 'Image Not Found'. But if you click the item and see the detail product page - all is in order and the images show ok. I do not do any separate upload for thumbnail images. http://www.jewelat.com/shop/earrings-gold-silver-01/479-6mm-stud-earrings-green-tourmaline-gold-808.html Thanks Jewelat
  7. Two important issues: 1) The paypal problem mentioned in my post has been resolved. No help from this group here, so I searched in French on Google for the problem. Found a solution in the Prestashop forums but in French. The user recommended just uninstalling and reinstalling the Paypal module in Prestashop a couple of times. Thanks for that suggestion, I tried it and it worked well for both - mobile and desktop versions. 2) Now, I have asked this before and got no reply so will ask it again - How do I mark a post as Solved or Resolved in these forums. Regards. Jewelat
  8. Any suggestions guys? I am a bit of technical person in programming not an expert but, can execute moderate changes if suggested by someone who knows better. So please don't hesitate to throw up a few intelligent guesses. Thanks for reading this and peeping at my post. Jewelat.
  9. Hello guys, i struggled to upgrade prestashop and finally got it done. Now am stuck with an express checkout error for the paypal set up. Filled all the API details correctly, cut and pasted so no chance of typing errors. But when using the front end and clicking the express checkout, get this message - what could be wrong? Please help. Fatal error: Uncaught Table 'jewelatc_pre1.ps_paypal_login_user' doesn't exist<br /><br /><pre> SELECT `id_paypal_login_user` FROM `ps_paypal_login_user` WHERE 1 </pre> thrown in /home4/jewelatc/public_html/shop/classes/db/Db.php on line 765 Thanks in advance for any help provided. Jewelat
  10. Guys how do I close this query - the problem is solved. Have a paypal issue too but, will keep that separate please explain how to make this 'Solved'. Thanks
  11. Thanks tuk66 you put me on the right track the issue is resolved now. Jewelat
  12. Ok some progress. Read somewhere outside the forum that it was required to select the folder for the theme again - i did it on the template selection screen and the error went off. But now, the website on a laptop looks like it is squeezed to the left as if, it is being viewed on a mobile device. Any ideas on this one? You can check the view at: http://www.jewelat.com/shop/ Thanks Jewelat
  13. Hi Jax, I put a note on this forum yesterday for the same issue but got no solution. Tried many things, but no use. Can you give me a bit more detail about where the permissions are to be set - obviously I am not as technically sound as you are. Thanks in advance. Jewelat
  14. Guys no update on this? Noticed 35 views and no comments, suggestions or solutions. Is it a very hard one to crack. Let me know Thanks
  15. Hello I upgraded to the new version of prestashop, all went fine without any errors. Then tried to run my store and got the server 500 error. Did the .htaccess update, created .htaccess anew by disabling and then enabling friendly SEO URLs. The error will just not go. I login on the backend and my data seems to be fine and intact. Screen shots attached, please help. Regards. Jewelat
