    Yes, it works without cron, the module checks stock inforamtion after every new order to set the "visibility" field of out of stock products to "Nowhere". If you restock a product on the back office product page, then the "visibility" field will be set to everywhere automatically. The free version doesn't set the visibility" field to "Nowhere" if you descrese the quantity to 0 on the back office product page.

    I don't 100% understand your question. See the last pic, it's the "Block Categories" which displays categories in accordions. See the first pic, that's a vertical menu which displays submenus in "Flyout". See the second pic, does that what you wanted? I can give you a piece of css code to achieve it.

    Most templates uses rectangular pictures on their demos, which doesn't mean that they support rectangular pictures only, actually I guess all of them support square ones too. You can change the size of image types on the "BO>Images" page.

    I suggest wait for 1.7.6.1. If you have problems with 1-click upgrade, you can always perform a manually upgrade which is easy and can upgrade your site correctly.
