  1. Thanks for your reply. I get that message when saving every product after making changes- a slightly different message when saving a category. The only way I've been able to change the info related to products or categories is by using Store Manager - not by using the back office of Prestashop. Oh well...
  2. Hello, I am having the same problem. Have you/ did you ever get to the bottom of the error and resolve it? If so, please share how? Thanks in advance for your reply.
  3. Hi, thanks for your reply. Was the cache module purchased or one of the natives found in the Performance ccc area? If it was a native module, please tell which one?
  4. Having same problem. Are you able to change or update your categories?
  5. I tried everything and have been struggling with this issue for over a week. All of the above plus, the product itself has to have an assigned warehouse and assigned supplier. Otherwise, no rates will show in the cart for that product. So, here's what worked for me: install the UPS module configure the first page only (do not assign categories or products to the carrier) never could get the module rate choices to show on the order form so, I made new ones set the shipping charge flat rate by pricing- couldn't get the weight to configure correctly make sure each product has an assigned warehouse and supplier make sure each assigned warehouse has added assigned shipping methods - they appear under the warehouse but, have to be added hope I don't lose too much money in the process... and oh, if you make any change to the cart, you may have to uninstall/ reinstall / reconfigure these mods
  6. Hello. I am having the same problem (same error message) but my customization table is in place. How did you find out what was causing your problem? Thanks in advance for your reply.
  7. QUESTION: Were you able to resolve the international shipping problem and if so, what did you do? Thanks for your reply.
  8. Hello, I am not an expert and fairly new at using Prestashop. I cannot address your specific needs. However I can say that most of what you want to do cannot be done in Prestashop without a good deal of customization. You may be able to find one or more modifications that can do some of what you want. The rest will have to be done by someone who is an expert Prestashop developer. If you have not already visited their add-ons store, you need to go there and see if there are any mods that will meet your needs. The address: http://www.addons.prestashop.com . There are other sites on the net selling PS add-ons and modules. Some of which are very good others of which are not. In this case, one does not always get what one pays for. Plus you can submit a request for quotation elsewhere in this forum to see if anyone is interested in doing the work. And submit a request to Freelancer.com for help with your project. Hope this helps!
  9. I don't get it. How does changing the number of decimals stop Prestashop from rounding prices up or down? I have tried two decimal places, three and finally just deleted info in that spot altogether. Prices are still rounding up. $34.55 rounds up to $35.00. Same applies to the discounts - .50c rounds up to $1. What must be done to get the product price to stay at $34.55 and discount amount to stay at .50c? Thanks in advance for your help.
  10. Hello, I need to disable Prestashop rounding. Either that or get a work around that will keep our prices the same. Currently price set for $1.99 in cart rounds up to $2. We want it to remain $1.99. Discounts are also rounding up: from 25c to $1.00. Have searched forum, github, bing and google. - no usable answers. One entry in the forum indicates a code needs to be changed but does not indicate where it is located or what change needs to be made. Thanks for help!
  11. Hello, Will you please elaborate on how to disable the rounding feature in the cart? Which files need to be edited? Will commenting out the line of code be sufficient? How will this line of code look after it is edited? $product['total_wt'] = Tools::ps_round($product['total_wt'] - $product['price_wt'], (int)$currency->decimals * _PS_PRICE_DISPLAY_PRECISION_); Rounding up the weight is fine because carriers will do this when they calculate the shipping cost. I only want to disable rounding up/down the product pricing and product discounts. Thanks in advance for your reply.
  12. Wouldn't it be easier to export products from the cart, make changes in excel or notepad then import the file back into your shop? There are inexpensive add-ons to help with that approach. Do you have a specific third party service/warehouse to which you are trying to connect? If it is a warehouse or dropshipper, check to see if they already have a way to download your orders using the API that you generated. No sense reinventing the wheel. :-) They might also offer a service called Dropstream. It acts as an interface between your cart, your warehouse and any marketplaces on which you place your products. They have a warehouse interface for Prestashop and you might want to contact them directly. http://www.getdropstream.com . And about buying modules: (1) always check to make sure they are recently revised and updated for your version of Prestashop. (2) Some module sites allow customers to make comments. Read them. You can find out who supports and who does not support their modules. (3) Shop around. Prices for the same types of module are all over the map. (4) Be wary of module descriptions written in broken English or poor grammar. Most of the developers seem to live in India, Pakistan etc. Some are conscientious and care about the quality of their work; but many are just in it for the money.
  13. You might also check into purchasing the manual - about $26 new. It does not have much help for troubleshooting. But, is very good for helping with step by step set up of the cart.
  14. All Prestashop modules are showing in the backend but each one has to be installed and then configured after it is installed. That confused me at first. In some cases, if it does not show, disable the module, uninstall, clear the cache (Advanced Parameters/ Performance top right hand menu) return to Modules and reinstall. I don't mean to insult your intelligence or imply that you did not do this - just trying to cover all bases before you give up. :-) PrestaShop has a high learning curve and needs to be customized with separate modules. But, there are some benefits to having no monthly hosted cart fees. And, it includes some features you might have to pay extra for on other platforms: responsive design, mobile site to name a few.
  15. Did you check under the Home Slider module in the Modules area of the backend? Unfortunately, you are correct about the pricing/functionality. And even when one purchases modules buyer beware. So many of the modules I've recently purchased from Addons and Envato do not work correctly out of the box. They need further customization (read: more money). :-(
