  2. 2020 November My hosting uses a virtual manages host. I have ssh access but luckily the host hast preinstalled pagespeed_mod. question: is pagespeed_mod better (faster, less ressources, or what so ever) than CCC in terms of packing and merging html, css, js?
  3. no one`? Nobody knows how image processing works in Presta or am I the only one who does not understand it?
  4. Hello I am really in the need to compress my product images. There are several service providers these days that offer to compress images with different methods like lossless, lossy with fixed or intelligent compression. Moreover there also modules at hand that can upload the images of your Prestashop to these service providers. As I understand the handy way would be that a module works in the background and uploads each new image you upload via backoffice (not FTP). Of course an option should be to upload also all images of /img or any other folder so images can be compressed before you installed some module to do so. Anyhow I need to know when these modules kick in and how. I am pretty sure they use an image controller overide, right? so, each time I upload images via backoffice and AFTER Prestashop has applied versions of the original corresponding to /bo/image resolution settings then the module kicks in and uploads original and resized variants to the service, right? So, Pesta must have written original and variants to /img/p dir then Presta notifies any module (how?) ? I would like to know how since I am also using another image module: ImageMagick in oder to TRIM -fuzz images. So, what is the sequence image processing takes place? Always 1st Presta's image compression settings (1-100% for jpeg for example). If you got a module like ImageMagick then this hokks into this process and does at the same time its processes (like TRIM -fuzz). Finally, when files are written or going to be written so to speak image compression modules upload these to the given service? In a nutshell, if my understanding is right Prestashop does apply compression if not set to 100% Jpg quality to the original and resized variants. Then image optimization module uploads these images to compress again. Since the service of Krken, Panda Tiny_whatever is an expert at doing so, I should set Presta's quality to OFF=100% JPG? Else I would risk that Presta damages image quality more or less ... I thank you if you could take the time to explain these things to me.
  7. Any news on this? I need the PayPal login button on the blockcart.tpl popup , too. I tried to copy some code from the shopping-cart.tpl/shopping-cart-advanced.tpl but had no success. So, how can we hook this button into the cart popup?
  10. Hello my log file is crowded by payment module. Sadly these entries are difficult to read. So I thought about download the logfile to desktop and then " AWK " it (linux command also available for Windows to manipulate input files). So I would have a (for me) much more readable version of the logs. Prestashop allows to send log file or entries (I have to check) if appropriate error level is set via email. So, there must be an " easy way " to add or edit this function to " download " file, right? That are just my assumptions and hopes since I still have not learned how write modules Anyway, if there is help out there... @Bellini's comment: I mean the log that is displayed in the backoffice. Probably this is truely a display that derives from the DB if I read Belini's comment.
  11. In my case it worked around Chrismas but stopped working. When I do not know, I just noticed it. Anyhow do you enter your URL with https or just http?
  12. Hello I just noticed that the PayPal Express logo is not being loaded anymore. Have a look at : http://www.gruenes-spielzeug.de/spiele/goldon-xylophon-11200.html The PayPal button should be directly at the bottom of the orange add to cart button and the word "oder". This is the known code I pasted into my product.tpl that worked for weeks: <!-- Boris insert PayPal button --> <div id="container_express_checkout" style="float:right; margin: 10px 19px 0 0"> <span style="color: #777;font-weight: bold !important;font-size: 13px !important;margin-right: 10px;">oder</span> {if isset($use_mobile) && $use_mobile} <div style="margin-left:30px"> <img id="payment_paypal_express_checkout" src="{$base_dir_ssl|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}modules/paypal/views/img/logos/express_checkout_mobile/CO_{$PayPal_lang_code|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}_orange_295x43.png" alt="" /> </div> {else} {if $paypal_express_checkout_shortcut_logo != false} <img id="payment_paypal_express_checkout" src="{$paypal_express_checkout_shortcut_logo|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}" alt="" /> {else} <img id="payment_paypal_express_checkout" src="https://www.paypal.com/{$PayPal_lang_code|escape:'htmlall':'UTF-8'}/i/btn/btn_xpressCheckout.gif" alt="" /> {/if} {/if} {if isset($include_form) && $include_form} {include file="$template_dir./express_checkout_shortcut_form.tpl"} {/if} </div> <!-- /Boris insert PayPal button --> Funny is that MS Edge console tells me that GET - https://www.paypal.com//i/btn/btn_xpressCheckout.gif is not to be found. Notice the doubled // Firefox console tells me the same except that it says GET - https://www.paypal.com/i/btn/btn_xpressCheckout.gif with one /. Anyhow, is this problem known? Any solution ? Work arround would be to get the image an alter the code to load it locally. But well...next update and so on...
  13. It is monday, we have christmas business and what else could be than issues with technical stuff.... Today I wanted to start dealing with orders - in this case e.g. generating invoices -- and I got his error thrown: Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused We run 1.6.10 and php 7.0. All is hosted on one of the best hosters (Hetzner). Though managed server I wonder if this error is not related to Prestashop?! If so what can I do? Urgent: A customer said there was a this problem on the front page too?
