  1. Hi I am trying to find out if there is a file permissions error or which files do I need to amend in order to get the forgotten password confirmation email to work. So the user gets the email link which they click on and takes them to ../password-recovery and shows a confirmation email has been sent to your address, but we are not getting the new passwords sent through. It sounds to me like a file permissions issues but need to know what has to be amended to fix this???

I am having a nightmare trying to remove some text on the final confirmation payment page it says "your order will be sent soon" and I want to remove that text line I have tried all sorts now, I know I can edit the line through the translation tab and go into module translations but it just wont let me into the page my other prestashop lets me in but not this one..... anyway I have outlined below. Heres what I have done so far 1. Spoke with my host to raise the limits on fields so I could edit the issue through the modules translation page this is what comes up now Warning, your hosting provider limits the maximum number of fields to post in a form: 1000 for max_input_vars Please ask your hosting provider to increase the suhosin post and request limit to 1362 at least. or edit the translation file manually My host says the above is set to unlimted so there shouldn't be an issue?? Next we went into FTP and went in the theme folder order-confirmation.php and tried to edit the field from there, we deleted the text but still it appeared on the page for some reason even though it had been deleted?? Is there anohter folder the text is in? what could be the problem with the translation module not coming up right because the field is set to max on the host? Please help pleaseeeee haha

  5. Below is an image of what is coming up after you have paid on the payment confirmation page. As you can see the £ is back to front it should be showing in front of the 1 so not like this 1£ but like this £1 any ideas on how to change it so it's right?
  6. Sorted it myself took me ages but got there in the end, I think it was to do with the zip file and instead of dragging it into FTP Public folder I dragged it into the actual prestashop folder
  7. Just some more info, when I did the full re-install my homepage wasn't showing correctly so my host changed the file name so it would show correctly, so now when I type my homepage in it comes up linked differently if you get what I mean?.

Hi I recently installed prestashop and purchased a new theme everything was going well until I lost everything I basically got to a stage were I wanted to tweak some bits and I ended up messing everything up so instead of spending ages searching for the problems I did a total fresh install. My problem now is I installed prestashop fine but when I try to upload the theme I purchased it doesn't do anything nothing shows and nothing seems to upload I go into modules and import the theme from my computer zip file but nothing :0( Oh and nothing is in the module theme just the standard prestashop theme

Hi mate yeah it makes sense and I think I am screwed, basically I paid a web designer to do my site and after 9 months I had nothing then he created my current site in 3 days using prestashop but it had loads of mistakes and grammer issues so I got access to the back end and started altering everything I added banners images ect you name it I did it, but there are issues with the emails not working which are on his server and he hasnt sorted them out in a month and now he has dropped off the radar like he did before he wont return calls ect so I am thinking of moving servers and I was going to back up and move the site to a new host so I could have access and sort the issues out but I am guessing I cant back up if I dont have it installed on my p.c as it is.
  12. I am trying to do a backup for my prestashop but this message comes up when I try to back up "Backups" Directory in admin directory must be writeable (CHMOD 755 / 777)

I have started a thread about how to edit the Order Confirmation page I don't have any replies yet so I am wondering if you cant edit the text fields which is a real pain for me as the text field doesn't make sense for what I am selling on my site, I was hoping there would be a WYSIWYG type option for editing the screen but I don't think there is :0(
