Nope, I still can;t get it working. It's starting to get exceptionally annoying now!

Is it possible to remove the {id} from "{id}-{rewrite}" on the category rewrite? I've tried doing it in Preferences > SEO & URLs options but it says {id} is required.

I've had a mess around and seems to be everytime I add a new product or category that the blank pages happen. I think it has something to do with the URL rewriting...

Yeah it's all well below the threshold so I have no idea what's going on. I'm going to try and populate some more products and see if that works. I have a feeling it may have something to do with the theme pointing to areas of the site that haven't yet being created.

I've now disabled Magic Quotes locally using .htaccess It seems to be better but I'm still getting some blank pages

Thanks for your help so far guys, apologies for the delay. I have now seemed to fixed the thumbnail issue by regenerating the images, a simple issue! I'm now on with the blank screens. I host the site on my own VPS so I have full control over all aspects of the software that runs on it. I seemed to remember that when I installed the software, there was a cross next to "Disable magic quotes" but I restarted my server with both Magic Quotes installed and not installed and the cross never changed. I wonder if there's something else that I need to do?

Hi tdr170, thanks for your response. I have tried to reset but no joy. Before I simply added the pictures as normal and it showed the image on the featured box. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong?

I have mentioned this in my post http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/214092-blank-screen-every-other-click/ For some reason the pictures don't appear for the products on the "featured products" field on my site. Is there supposed to be a setting I need to tick somewhere?

I'm not sure if this has any relevance but for some reason the product picture doesn't appear on the featured listings advert on the homepage either? I have a funny feeling this has something to do with the .htaccess file.

Hi Site, thanks for your help earlier. I have tried it on a 1.5.2 installation and I'm still getting the same blank screen so I don't think it's a theme issue. I have also tried it on 1.5.3.1 and it's working the same on there. I have noticed the site is incredibly slow and I haven't tinkered with any of the CCC settings yet. Is there anything else you can suggest?

I'm going to try it with 1.5.2 and see if that fixes anything. I'm a little confused with the whole friendly URL thing as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't

Hi, yes it's compatible with 1.5.3. How do I regenerate my .htaccess? Just delete it and create a new, blank one with CHMOD 666?

I've done this but now there is a cross next to "Smarty optimization" in the configuration list. I also get a 404 error when I go to a shortcode url e.g. www.gallis.co.uk/contact-us could this be a .htaccess problem?
