I've posted about this in a few topics without any luck. Im looking for a way to modify prestashop so that packs are not treated as entirely new products but instead draw from the inventory they are made of. So if Pack consists of product A and B then check inventory of A and B to see if its in stock and then subtract from A and B when a pack is sold. Additionally I need to be able to have attributes within the pack so a pack may be made of product A then a drop down menu to choose whether it comes with product B or C and have this also affect the price like an attribute would and check the proper inventories. If anyone could point me in the right direction on how the prestashop code could be modified to accomplish this I and a friend are going to take a stab at making it happen. Magento accomplishes this perfectly however this is really the only feature missing from prestashop and I'd hate to change due to one feature. It seems like a feature many shops are looking for and would benefit from. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Having the same problem. Its really a shame attribute and pack functionality is so poorly implemented.

Is there any update on this technique for 1.4? I've tried looking through the mysql tables to see where discounts are stored now but cant find them.

I just started exploring the pack functionality and was sad to see it is so limited. Is there any simple work around to base the pack stock quantity on the products in the pack. So if a pack is sold it will subtract from the proper inventory and show out of stock if any of the items in the pack are out of stock. I saw a module that does this but it very expensive and it adds the products to the cart individually instead of as a pack. It seems like this should be a core feature of having a product pack.

For what ever reason copying and pasting the api password does not work. It shows up with stars and the correct length but results in that error. Finally I tried typing it by hand and it works.

Did you get through on the default theme or was it showing the dark theme? I just switched to the default theme and it works then switched back to the custom theme and this time it gave me an error in the back off. Dono why t was not giving the error before. The theme is missing a config.xml file

I've upgraded to 1.4 and have had a whole list of bug most of which I have been able to fix however it is still not possible to complete the checkout process. It wont go past selecting delivery methods. Nothing happens when you hit continue, no error or any indications of problems....just nothing. Any advice. I found the problem(at least for me). If you are using a custom theme and are having issues try toggling the Use Smarty 2 instead of 3 in backoffice>preferences. Goodluck!

I just spent a bunch of time upgrading following directions carefully and my products are all blank in the front office, have not looked for other problems yet...unfortunately this is a live show so I will likely need to restore the back up.
