We are about to activate an SSL certificate on our site but I am worried about this damage this may do to our google ranking, I have checked through some older posts and they mention Google will pick up duplicate content, as the site will be served over http and https, however i found an option in our plesk settings for " Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS" if I activate this will it work ok with prestashop or could it interfere? any advice on this would be appreciated as I can't be the only one concerned with this? also for addiional modules such as google shopping/merchant will these types of links be updated automatically once SSL is activated in prestashop?

I'm looking to add an SSL to use with PayPal pro, can I just get the cheap certificate for about $3 a year? Will all of the different types work with prestashop OK?

I am running the latest version of prestashop 1.4 and need to find a blog module that displays nicely formatted URL and nice page/meta titles, I have looked an looked and can not find the best solution? I have purchased this module in the past : http://addons.prestashop.com/en/content-management/2500-blog-prestablog-posts-categories-comments-products.html but the support is awful, i have sent a dozen emails over the past year and never had a repsonse I recently purchased this module http://addons.prestashop.com/en/content-management/4731-prestashop-blog.html but for version 1.4 the URL does not format nicely (it adds PRESTABLOG to the start of each URL) can any one advise what else to try?, I looked at wordpress integration but I read many people advising against it..... I need clean URL, like this : myshop.com/new-article-about-fish.html Meta/page title that I can set to match the article name or custom text,

I have searched the forums top to bottom, all I want to do is add my company name, address and telephone number to the contact us page. I presume I just need ot edit the tpl file but can any one asvise me how to format the text and where to paste it in the tpl?

I want to add a button to each product on our site similar to the add to cart button, this would enable our customer to buy a sample of the product, The customer can buy a certain amount of samples for a fixed price with free shipping, I have searched the forum and there are only a couple of posts similar to what I am looking for but they are very old, I have seen this on many websites but can not find anything for prestashop I dont know if I am searching for the wrong thing maybe people call it a different name?

I am moving to Prestashop from Cubecart but want to build and stock my new prestashop store on a seperate domain so I can keep the old one running with minimal downtime. Is this a feasible option? would it be best to do this on a subdomain of my current store domain or a completly seperate domain? my concern is any licensing for modules as with cubecart many mods have very strict license and this has caused me problems in the past when upgrading and designing new stores, can any one advise on what problems i may run in to?
