I've read maybe 25 posts about this issue and have not found a solution. Here's my problem: I'm striving for the best image quality down here. My product pngs are beautiful crisp and I lossless processed them from 90KB down to 20KB each with Image Alpha. I upload them to Presta. Now the quality is not crisp anymore, but still acceptable, and I hoped to figure this out one day, but their size is now: 250K. I'd like to switch any image processing completely off and only use my original pictures in the product view. They are already perfect! But how? Has anyone figured this one out? I don't believe, it's my settings. The settings in my image preferences are: product image width: 200px product image height: 248px (original) For quality I use: jpg: 90 and png: 0 and changed from jpg to png because of the background that's added to the jpgs per default. Why do we have to accept this Presta-behaviour? It's the only downside of this excellent software. (I use Presta 1.6.1.6)

I have Prestashop (1.6) running in an iFrame that cannot change it's height after loading. That works fine, except: Checkout and Account Creation pages sometimes change their height without loading the whole page again. Can't see the bottom of the page (address and changes in shipping or payment) and can't scroll down! For my case, I need to change that behaviour (or change to another iFrame script)! ➡ How (and where) can I tell Prestashop to always load the whole page for account creation and chekout pages? Probably I will have to use the "steps" checkout.

Solved. It depends if I'm logged in or not - as I'm sitting in another country :-) Starting to play with tax rules now.

Hi, I have an update issue with the tax. I want to show price and included tax, it looks good in the backend, but it messes it up in the frontend. Cart shows the nt. price and 0 tax! Is it my mistake? Pls. have a look: I found this line in product tpl. Line 37, red-flagged by Dreaweaver ( is it related? ) PS version is prestashop_1.4.8.2 var taxRate = {$tax_rate|floatval}; Thanks for your reply.

How can I let the (block)cart be displayed in it's collapsed state by default? I also want to remove the asc / desc arrows from the .css, "display: none". But first I have to make sure that the cart is minimized!

It's solved, my mistake. The shop was sending a mail with the password from localhost - it went straight into my spam - folder! I've set it up online now - that works like a breeze too. Very nice. Cheers.

Is it important to have the "enable shop" option on "no" while moving - or is it only important for not missing any sales? The front-end is ( of course ) immediately switching to the live shop ... Ah ... any ideas what I should try to get the shop running on localhost?

Hello. I moved a Presta Shop ( 1.4.7.0 ) from the live domain to my localhost. Of course by following the steps of the "moving"-guide ( http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS14/System+Administrator+Guide#SystemAdministratorGuide-MovingPrestaShop ). I can't log in to the backend. I tried to send a "forgot password?" - message, received the mail - the backend rejects the new password. What else can I try?
