  1. Does anyone know how to install an SSL Certificate seal in the front office? My preference is in the right column, juist under the Paypal box. I have looked in the modules section of the back office; also, the forums for any clues, none that I can find. Any help would be much appreciated...Thank you. Chuck
  2. I'll give everybody a heads up! If you are having problems editing your short description, it's probably your browser, especially if you're using Firefox. That's the problem I was having this mornng. So, I switched my browser to Google Chrome, presto, not a bit of problem after that. I got the idea from a gentlemen on bug tracker, he was having the same problem; he also mentioned that he was using Firefox. Firefox also has a problem with the copy and paste option...have a great weekend, what's left of it. Chuck
  3. Hi Everybody, Need some help...don't know where to start. I've been trying to get the import program set up for my Prestashop store. Been working on it for say 12 or so hours, getting very tired and very, very, frustrated. No matter what I do, any combination of any formulas I use, etc., doesn't seem to do the job. I've read the Prestashop manual on importing, even resorted to watching some videos on You Tube, for some pointers. I know it can't be that hard. Does anyone, anywhere have a quick fix to my delemma? I used Notepad and I have Microsoft Excel 2010. I've set all the correct settings as recommended. Even thought of downloading the Openoffice software, thinking my version of Excel might be the wrong one to use. Any help would be very much appreciated. Chuck
  4. I am a newbie as well...working on my first store, it has been an experience. One thing I have learned, from life in general, you have to have patience; no matter what you do or where life takes you. I have 3 adult children; always preached to them, if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. As the old saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day". If the author of rubbish has had so much experience; rebuild it, see what he can come up with. I would like to see if he can do any better. Personally, I think Prestashop has done a good job. I will keep plugging a long, patience is the key.
  5. Hello Mike...got a new problem, maybe you can help me with that. After nosing around the site, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, I finally got everything downloaded like it should be. But, now the template that I purchased from Prestastore shows 3 error messages:1. config xml is missing in the theme path 2. this theme may not correctly use "display store location" 3. config xml theme has not been created for this version of Prestashop. Not sure what any of this means. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...Chuck
  6. Yes, I still have them on my computer and when they were downloaded they were already in zip folders. I just uploaded them from there. Is there anything else I should be doing when I upload them? I'm not very computer savvy.
  7. Hi Mike, Thanks for asking, sometimes I do have a problem putting my thoughts into words. Yesterday, I downloaded some templates from the Prestastore site to my computer. Then, when I went into module, then themes to upload those files to my store, somewhere those files got lost, not sure where they ended up on my site; but, it wasn't where sould have been under themes. Also, yesterday, I purchased a template from Pretastore, that was downloaded to my store; but I can't figure out how to apply that template to my storefront. No matter what I do, it doesn't seem to work. Hope that helps...thanks. Chuck
  8. I am brand new to Prestashop; having a little trouble getting things navigated the way I want. One problem I have is that I downloaded files to my computer from the PrestaShop store, most free; but. one template that was purchased, having a problem getting them uploaded to my store. I don't know where the files went. The file that was purchased is stuck where the puchased products from PrestaStore go but I can't get it switched to the theme section so I can use it in my store. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. Chuck
