paypal module is not working
cheeseplant replied to sunreader's topic in Ecommerce x PrestaShop [ARCHIVE BOARD]
I've just upgraded to 1.6 and the paypal module is messing me about 'big style'. in the checkout page when I hover over the hyperlink for paypal it says 'javascript:void(0)' and when I click the link obviously I get nothing. All folders are at 755. Can't find anything on this forum with a similar issue or solution. -

Prestashop 1.6 & Paypal V3.7.1
cheeseplant replied to fyonline's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
if you have ps 1.6 isn't PayPal already installed? therefore adding PayPal again is why you are getting the error? -
I recently upgraded to PS 1.5.6.2 and my previous version of PS I had amended the Cash on Delivery module to look like a Payment on Account module. I only changed the images and text reference to Cash on Delivery (COD) to Payment on Account. The module/script worked perfectly with COD replaced with POA on everything to invoice, confirmation page and emails etc However, since upgrading I cannot for the life in me get it to work the same way. I have amended all files as before in COD module folder and whilst the images are easy, changing the text is impossible. payment.tpl, confirmation.tpl and php files everything that refer to COD has been updated to POA but no success. See image below how it displays in my store. Please help point me in the right direction I don't understand why it doesn't change after amending the files. regards Phil

Call To Undefined Function Mcrypt_Decrypt
cheeseplant replied to kuldmedal's topic in Ecommerce x PrestaShop [ARCHIVE BOARD]
I recently updated PHP 5.1to 5.3 and I got the exact same error because mcrypt needed reinstalling on server by host. All sorted within a few minutes. However, it took me a few hours to narrow it down to this issue - I made simple mistake and forgot to turn on debugging in my PS defines.inc.php which would have shown me the issue immediately. Big thanks to PS superstar El Patron http://www.prestashop.com/forums/user/295107-el-patron/ for his help. -
I had Prestashop running for a couple of years and earlier this year I updated to 1.5 and despite a few hiccups all has been well and the site is great. A client of mine wanted a CMS site so I tried to install Joomla and it told me that my PHP 5.1 needed updating to PHP 5.3. I looked around the forum and couldn't find anything mentioned that this would be an issue. I updated to PHP 5.3 and now the site is complete blank - nothing works front or back. I wondered if anyone had any ideas what could be the issue. I've installed a new copy of PS in a different folder and thats fine but obviously I don't want to go through re configuring, transferring, reinstalling modules and linking databases etc if there is just something I've missed. www.barflya.com/store is the site

Maximum quantity is limited to 999
cheeseplant replied to almaruf's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Hi, This solution is not working for me. I've updated the code in the product.tpl file and there is no difference whatsoever. Am I missing something. I'm using PS 1.4.6.2 -
Is there an answer to this question. We have clients who have items delivered but they can also collect them from our office. If customer orders products and then pays for shipping but then changes their mind and wishes to collect, how can I refund just the shipping?

Remove Shipping Option
cheeseplant replied to Virtual Assistant's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Karen, how does your product reach your customer? by post? or do they collect? You could always set up your own carrier called 'whateveryoulike' and charge what you want or not, and then set this as default. This way you customer only has to choose payment option. We did it and for free shipping we set the product weight to 0.001 kg. Then set the parameters for the carrier of 0 -0.002kg Free, 0.003 - and so on. Hope this helps -
I'm experiencing the same issue and I have changed the permissions as highlighted above but still no success.
