Same problem partly solved, with solutions above, but cannot configure some of my addon modules that I uploaded. Click configure and I end up back on the general modules screen. Frustrating.

I agree with @daresh about looking for solutions, but I think it is a valid point that, and frustrating the way product pages and cms pages give an error when you try to save, kick you out of edit mode, and you lose the changes you made.

I would like to add a short javascript code to a CMS Page. But when I save the page, I get kicked out of the page edit and an error message "The content field is invalid." I have allow iframes ON, and HTML purifier OFF. Is there any way to allow <script> in pages? Thanks

Anyone? Is this a bug. There is nothing in the documentation saying we cannot remove the "content" from the url, yet idong so causes 404 errors.

I have a brand new unmodified Prestashop 1.7 installation. I would like to edit translations for some modules. I have successfully modified for example footer translation, but when I open the module translations, and hover over the textarea to make modification, the cursor changes to red circle with cross and I cannot make the edit. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi, I have a new unmodified PS 1.7 store. In "Shop parameters/ traffic and SEO" I have tried to shorten a few """Schema of URLs" but get 404 errors. The changes I made were: Route to page from "content/{id}-{rewrite}" to "{id}-{rewrite}" Route to page category from "content/category/{id}-{rewrite}" to "category/{id}-{rewrite}" I get 404s. Is this a bug or am I missing something. I have pretty urls and mod rewrite enabled. Thanks.

Yes, we are having a look at 1.7, and it is missing some really basic features even the simplest eCommerce should have. I am finding this staggering in 2017. I would hope from a supposedly leading open source eCommerce, not just to have a basic comment system, but an innovative commenting and review system, pushing the limits of web development and social network integration. Don't get me wrong, we have build lots of PS stores, and been a fan in the past, but this is worrying going forward.

So there is still really no simple way in 2017 to add multiple text blocks in basic PS or am I missing something?

Thank you both for the replies - much appreciated. I am almost tempted to just rebuild with a brand new PS and import clients. This will avoid bugs. The theme has to be redone anyway, and there are only 50 products.

Hi, I have a bit of a Prestashop fossil - 1.4.6.2. Can anyone suggest the upgrade procedure to latest version? Alternatively, is it worth recreating from scratch and importing user/ sales data? If so is there an Addon for this? If it helps, I am very comfortable with database import/ export and mySQL queries. Much appreciated.

I already have a static HTML website. I need to add a simple logon for hotels that allows the hotel to charge customers for our services: - Add customer details (name address e.t.c.) - Add number of days our service is required - Add customer credit card details - Charged 10 dollars a day for service plus 100 dollar refundable deposit (refunded at check out) Would anyone mind outlining the easiest way to do this? Actually Dave, As the domain is not currently available to me (for beureucratic reasons out of my control) rather than build the website in a subfolder, if I build on an entirely different URL (so I can test before site live), and then move it to the correct URL, are there any more issues (such as reconnecting the database?) My client is scraping his old sho, nad I am creating new shop with Prestashop. I want to create the new shop in a subfolder of his website without interupting his current site. Once the new shop is ready, I will remove the old site and move the new shop to the top level folder of the domain such that this becomes the new website. My question - Are there any issues in changing the base URL of my newly created shop? Appreciated.
