Hi, I just tried the Prestashop demo in my Android mobile and non of the categories show any products. They say that ther are items there, but nothing is visible. I can see that it is optimised for mobile, but totally does not work for me. My android os version is 2.2 (very difficult to upgrade this old thing to anything later) Is there something that stops it working on (older) androids? It works fine on my wifes old iphone If it is the age of my phone that is the cause then i will probably go ahead and use 1.5 for my site, as people often update their mobiles, and I will be soon, it's just that I was wondering why it won't show on my Mobile. Just did a clean install of the stable release and chose guest checkout with 5 stage checkout. After adding a product loaded with the install, I filled in the guest checkout form on the checkout procedure, pressed 'next' and got redirected back to the home page? The only thing i have not done at the moment is turning Magic quotes off as i am having problems signing in to my WHM. Would this be the cause of this problem? Thanks Paul

to be honest, if you have your site up and running and have spent time you don't want be wasted, have a look at the add on's for the 1 page checkout, as could well a way to solve your problems. You just have to weigh the cost of buying it against loss of customers (or go with something different.) Personally, I expect to have to pay something towards a shop, but there are other issues where i am concerned with prestashop (which i accept is down to me not being a programmer) which has made me look elsewhere - but that has cost me (acceptable to me) about £180 for a basic setup, is more work than prestashop, but more flexible, but you do need to be aware of html, php mysql etc, (and the more aware, the better :-)

it is one of the things stopping me use prestashop. The most important thing is simplicity and this adds a question mark into the customers thinking. Pity there is not a simpler way round it as the paid checkout add on doesn't need it....

Hi, I want to change the Subject input from a select with two options, to a plain text field. I've tried to comment out the selects and put in a text input, using some of the selects id. This gives me an error as it still is expecting a select and removes what i had in the text input. If anyone can help me this would be great I am not an accomplished coder but can carry out basic tasks. Tia Paul

Can i remove the birthday option on the registration form, is it required for Prestashop to work properly?

Hi, I am on hostgator and they have 5.2.9 which is reckoned by the Prestashop team to cause image problems with Prestashop. Does this mean I cannot use Prestashop at all, or does this mean it will just have limited functionality or the the odd hiccup? I have a reseller account with Hostgator, so not an easy option to change hosts. I think that Prestashop is a great ecommerce program and would love to be able to use it. Thanks in advance
