Anyone?

We want to show products in catalog mode and have shareasale api integrated to show prices from multiple contributing stores. So, *we* are the affiliate, we're not looking for affiliates. We're looking for a way to have multiple shops come up with prices through shareasale api... Generally the way it works is a "sku" is assigned to a product, then the shareasale api will pull all shops and prices for that sku with our affiliate link attached.... Anyone know if this is possible or how difficult it will be to implement... ?

Interesting... Thanks for your quick reply, man. Is this default Presta? I notice a couple of things... Only 3 can be compared... and there's no obvious way to clear the current queue... Maybe I require something a bit more specialized.... Is this your site BTW?

I took a look at the demo, I don't see the option anywhere to add a product to be compared. Tried hovering, going to the products page etc... I'm looking at PrestaShop as an affiliate sales CMS for tech products. So a user may want to compare several products and they will have a shareasale API link connected. Is PrestaShop good for something like this? Ideally I need to have the product compare button pretty much anywhere the product is listed... If someone clicks a tag, bam, the list of products associated with that tag should come up and hopefully have a compare button there... I took a look at Wordpress and there's amazingly almost nothing available like this...

I did this, and lost 80% of my rank in Google. I'm trying to set up a 301 redirect, but it breaks search every time I do it. I get a 'page not found' error. The redirect is through cpanel, redirecting mysite.com to www.mysite.com . I have the SEO & URL's set as friendly and redirect conotacal set to on. The site url set as www.mysite.com, HTTPS as blank. Base url set as "/". Also when i try to log in to backend through www.mysite.com/admin, it refuses and just refreshes to login page. I can only login through mysite.com without the www. Is there some setting I'm missing here? The redirect is happening automatically without the 301, which is good, but I want to set a 301 so Google knows it's the same site. I've lost huge here. I can only hope it will bounce back. Am using vanilla 1.5.5

i'm not sure where the 'data sheet' css is, i found attribute css in product.css, but font changes didn't make a difference, so i ended up just editing it inline in product.tpl

I found an old post on it, but the information is outdated. That css block no longer exists for data sheet. I notice that the main body px changes the data sheet data size as well, but 1- Is there some specific css where I can change font size for data sheet? 2- I want to change the attribute to bold, and keep the data normal, so Battery: 10000mA reads Battery: 10000mA

awww man. This is awesome. My site just improved 10-fold. It looked terrible with all the paragraphs running together. I was skeptical it would actually work, but <br> works great. I'm not sure what you mean about using rich text... I mean, I understand what it is, but I didn't know that could be embedded in .csv... Or are you referring to importing it some other way.

you mean, include html directly into the descriptions in the csv/spreadsheet. correct?

Bump. Anyone? This seems important, to be able to add line breaks on an import with short-descriptions and descriptions... Anybody have any ideas?

The OP is way off base. OpenCart and Magento don't look any better than PrestaShop. This is entirely up to the theme you use. OpenCart vanilla looks crap. Magento Commerce vanilla looks slightly nicer than PrestaShop's vanilla, but not by much and it comes down to taste as well. Some might prefer Presta's vanilla. Regardless, premium Presta themes easily equal the best OpenCart or Magento themes. If you're going to compare Presta vanilla to a well-made premium Magento or OpenCart theme, yea you might have a point. Otherwise.... No.

The import feature for prestashop has no way to delimit text, so it's just lumping the paragraphs into one big block. It looks bad and it's hard to follow. Is there any way to get the breaks imported?

Okay... I MIGHT have found the solution to the issue. Some of the products didn't have certain features, so I didn't input the feature or the feature category. They were otherwise lined up. But I guess this threw off the import? Ex. Product 1 CPU: P4,GPU: Integrated Product 2 CPU: P5,GPU: Integrated,Special: 20GB drive Product 3 CPU: P4,GPU: ATI,Battery: 3000mA,Special: 40GB drive I figured it would just automatically fill it if it existed and leave it alone if it didn't, but that didn't seem to be the way it worked. Now I've gone through the list and put the feature category and left it blank. Ex. Product 1 CPU: P4,GPU: Integrated,Battery:,Special: Product 2 CPU: P5,GPU: Integrated,Battery:,Special: 20GB drive I've gone through about 20 products so far and they seem to be all intact now. Hope this helps someone else if they run into the issue.

This is seriously driving me crazy. Some features will import fine, others not fine. It's entirely random, so if I import again the same exact .csv, some of the products will be perfect, other products will have some of the features show, but other features of the same product will be blank. Import it again and force ID's, some of the blank features will be filled in, but then others will disappear. Some of the products that were previously perfect will then have some features be blank. It's beyond my comprehension. I even attempted deleting all features and re-importing again with the same results. Everything else is importing fine... Pictures, descriptions, tags etc... I'm using 1.5.5 vanilla Any ideas?

I've made some changes to header. Just small changes to properly place the logo where I wanted. And footer to place adsense in the footer. Maybe I deleted some crucial line? The catalog otherwise is running perfectly. Okay, I disabled and re-enabled and uninstalled and re-installed and it didn't make a difference. I also tried different text as well. Any ideas? Using Vanilla 1.5.5
