  1. Hi folks, Just wondering if anyone is aware of a good plugin that will allow you to add a recommended retail price (RRP, MSRP or whatever), through CSV, so that a customer of mine can update their products whilst adding an RRP? Happy to pay for one. Thanks
  2. Nick_escu, thanks very much for highlighting this. I appreciate this message is from 2010 so a long time ago and things have changed. It's 2016 and the SwiftMailer is still in an issue with Prestashop which is frankly unbelievable. A customer of mine, admittedly using 1.5.3, was having the issue. We purchased Bellini's Swift Mailer Upgrade (https://www.bellini-services.com/shop/modifications/39-swift-mailer-upgrade-better-support-for-ssltls.html?) which figured out the order email issues. Unfortunately I still couldn't get the contact form to work due to relay issues, I suspect. So by going on Nick_escu's post, I was able to sort it by manually placing the email address in the file. However, things have changed a lot since Nick_escu's post - the contact form stuff now resides in /controllers/front/ContactController.php where you'll find this line: if (Mail::Send($this->context->language->id, 'contact', Mail::l('Message from contact form'), $mail_var_list, $contact->email, $contact->name, $from, ($customer->id ? $customer->firstname.' '.$customer->lastname : ''), as Nick_escu says, change $from to: '[email protected]' Hope this helps.
  3. Would love to know a way to do this. Happy to buy a module but would prefer to learn it myself.
  4. Hi there, I've Googled and Googled and found information that doesn't work. Can ANYONE help me here with setting text fields and their labels through CSV importing? The documentation says that text field importing should be laid out as follows: Text fields (0 = No, 1 = Yes) After setting customization to 1, this actually gave me one field. So with that in mind, I typed 2, and I got 2 fields (which is what I was after). However, on the back office, it needs to be saved on the product to then generate two empty fields to enter labels in. This is obviously no good. How can I import the field labels through CSV? There was this forum post: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/319630-csv-import-and-file-fields/ Which suggested that this would work: "Engraved Text|0, Date Required|0" But it doesn't. I've tried with and without inverted commas, apostrophes, no joy. The official documentation just doesn't talk about text fields. Can anyone help? Cheers
  5. Hi there, this has been touched on before but any 'solved' topic, to me, doesn't offer a decent solution. My customer has duplicated hundreds of products as they follow a similar pattern, but what's happened is that the Friendly URL has remained the same (reflecting the title of the first product), and doesn't update the URL to reflect the new title. Is there not a way to update these en masse, as opposed to just going to the SEO tab, or through the database and editing one by one as suggested on other forum posts? Thanks
  6. Hi there, I posted about this in the job offers category but probably should have posted it here first. I'm trying to duplicate or apply attributes that need to be the same across all products in certain categories, as opposed to having to duplicate products and using them as templates. Are there any modules out there that can do it? Thanks
  7. Hi there, does anyone know of a way to copy attributes across all products in a category? Willing to pay for a module! Thanks
  8. Hi thanks for the reply. Yeah I just think the hook system is too rigid. Looks like I'll be using hooks. Thanks anyway.
  9. THIS! Thank you. I had the same problem. No codes in the Content declaration. Replaced these lines from an older install of Prestashop.
  10. Hi there, how do I go about including module files within my own theme? I don't want to use hooks, as the layout of modules inside those hooks seems very rigid and sloppy CSS code is the only way to move divs around. For example, I'd like to include blocktopmenu in header.tpl. I have tried {include file="$tpl_dir./modules/blocktopmenu/blocktopmenu.tpl"} Which returns the following error: I've tried a few different variations yielding no results. How can I go about this please? Thanks
  11. Hi there, I have an issue where some items in my shop are free shipping, but most items have postage charges. These items are sometimes combined in the same basket, and I need to be able to charge for postage for the item that doesn't have free shipping. With the same shop I have managed to do this. I managed it by creating a new carrier with free shipping and applied it only to a select group of items. I have linked two items below to add to a basket so you can try it: http://www.petnature.co.uk/tough-dog-toys/530-gor-tough-shuttle.html http://www.petnature.co.uk/dog-coats/654-macpaws-packale-rain-dog-coat-blue.html You'll see with the above that it just charges postage based on any other items in the basket that have postage fees. The "Gor" product has the free shipping. The Macpaws item has postage charges. However, now, we have taken a new line of items on, which needs the same set up. So we have created another free shipping carrier, but now, it charges free shipping across the board. And on the shipping screen (when you login and come to checkout), it shows that there's two shipping services (one for the free ship item, one for the charged shipping item), combines them and sends it for free. http://www.petnature.co.uk/dog-trailers-cycling-accessories/659-doggyride-original-dog-trailer.html The "DoggyRide" item is free shipping. As soon as you add that to the basket, everything has free shipping. The set up is exactly the same as the previous but just won't work for some reason. Can someone shine some light please? Thanks
  12. Thanks folks. Turns out the order_payment.tpl was displaying the discount twice - the actual payment processors (paypal for example) displayed the correct price., so no money was actually being lost. In the end, I did some digging around on github and downloaded an updated the order_payment.tpl file which has now fixed the issue. Anyone looking for it (I'm on PS 1.6.0.9): https://raw.githubusercontent.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/220a7eb7927dc1860c3a139adcf3680857689010/themes/default-bootstrap/order-payment.tpl
