  1. Nevermind, Carrier Compare was what i was looking for. It wasn't an installed module after upgrade, bu filtered for uninstalled modules and saw it. When I went to install it said already installed, but clearly wasn't installed. So now it is working. I knew it was obvious but apparently it got hung up during the upgrade.
  2. Ok, final update. Think I have most things working now. Had some problems at first. Kept getting an error about TWENGA not loading or missing after switching to the new default theme for 1.6. But in Advanced Parameters a quick recompile of templates seemed to fix it. Now if I could just find a way to do shipping estimates like I know I turned on when I did test upgrade last fall.
  3. I must be losing my mind. I just did a full upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6. I did the same test upgrade last fall and I swear there was a way to see shipping estimates before creating an account. I can't find that option now. Did that module or option get removed during the upgrade or in the latest 1.6 build? Does anyone have a recommendation for something that will do this?
  4. Another day and progress. Truncated/cleared the the PS_Connections, PS_connections_source, PS_Guests entries in the database and now down to 55mb. This whole experience makes me think the makers of Prestashop should have made a tool in the upgrade process to give the option to clear some of these if they are very large. Looking at previous posts it is obvious this database size bloating issue is not new. It has been around for years. With my host its clear the shared server can't handle the size of the database. Others have and will probably run into the same thing. Now to try the upgrade again for the store.
  5. I just changed my permission to 755 from 644 on the settings file and now it gives Bad Sub-domain SQL Query error. That is all you see on screen. UPDATE I am maybe seeing issue with the database address change and sql error now. The database backup from before upgrade doesn't contain all the PS_ tables that are in current database for some reason. Think the rollback during upgrade changed the database structure maybe? UPDATE Nope, any backup I create is missing 30 tables when I create new database from backup. UPDATE Talking to myself, but maybe help someone else in future. Think the whole problem is Database size. It is 148mb due to that known issue with ps_connections never emptying. Going to do another backup using export option, not using an automated tool for the database. Before I try to Truncate the ps_connections table and some other tables.
  6. I am upgrading a 1.4.1.0 store. I am getting stuck doing auto upgrade when it goes to upgrade database it says it fails. I did a test run of this last November and it worked fine. I can rollback without issue so that is good. I raised up my PHP limits for Memory and other things but that didn't help. I realized last fall when did test upgrade I did upgrade the database to MySQL 5.5 from 5.0. So I tried upgrading database to 5.5 by creating new database and importing backup. But when I go into Database settings in 1.4 and change the settings it says Fatal Error. I restore the previous settings.inc.php to get it running again. So then I tried by replacing the settings.inc.php file directly and get the same problem. I know it is some what linked to the database because one time I put the wrong address in for database and it said it couldn't link to database. So am stumped at what I should try next to get this darn store upgraded. Perhaps the rollback after failed upgrade has changed something with database handling?
  7. I am currently using 1.4, but will soon be working on moving to the newest version. I am trying to find out if an Add-on for 1.4 exists that will show me the value of all in-stock inventory from a given supplier. I have some stuff consigned on my store and need an easy way to determine what the dollar value in the store of my inventory versus that supplier inventory. The only options for stock stats right now is by Category and I need Suppllier. I see some other Add-ons for inventory management exist but no way to tell if they have the feature I need. Alternately I am curious if such on option exists in the newest Prestashop? Thanks
  8. They said that there was an increase in attacks on Wordpress sites recently. To combat this they got more aggressive with the ModSecurity settings. It is looking for Brute Force attacks on sites. So when Prestashop, at least 1.4.1, keeps calling up the same script over and over again it gets flagged. When it gets flagged it blocks connections from that IP for a while. So their answer is new ecommerce software that doesn't act this way or move the site to a Virtual Server so I can manually control the ModSecurity settings myself.
  9. I did contact them, their answer is to stop using Prestashop or buy Virtual Server plan.
  10. This is the error in the logs -- ModSecurity: Access denied with connection close (phase 3). Pattern match "block" at TX:evalaction. [file "/web/httpd2/modsecurity.d/activated_rules/modsecurity_gd_07_post_guardian.conf"] [line "19"] [id "10702"] [msg "BLOCKED - Automated Attacks(cached)"] After a few minutes wait it will work again.
  11. I am using Linux deluxe hosting. Mine was fine until yesterday, then it went bad. They said updates are getting rolled out to their servers and they probably finally got to the one I am on.
  12. My store just started having load problems. After clicking on about 5-6 links in my back or front of the store I get message the server wasn't responding. (currently running 1.4.1 version of Prestashop) I went into the error logs at GoDaddy and it shows ModSecurity warnings for my IP and that it blocked access for ajax.php I talked to them and they said they started rolling out new security settings this summer to stop brute force attacks. They said that because the same scripts keep getting called all the time it was a flag for the system. I was told that my only solutions are to find different software or buy a Virtual Server plan that would allow me to customize my own ModSecurity settings. So I am looking for some feedback on what the community here thinks is best or easiest answer. I am looking at just moving away from GoDaddy as well. I can't easily move from Prestashop, I have over 1500 products in my store.
  13. I am have a very strange tax issue in 1.4.1. I have to collect state tax but don't have customers from within my state real often. I just noticed it wasn't working correctly, think it had been working correctly prior to me upgrading to 1.4.1 over a year ago. The cart never reflects a tax being charged but the invoice shows tax being calculated. However the actual amount the customer is charged through paypal is the total without tax. I have gone through all my settings multiple times without finding a solution. Below is a copy of the invoice details that show the tax info. Also is a screen shot of the tax rule setup. If I go to Tax Rules- My State- North America and say apply my state tax rule to all USA it works for all customers. I don't want tax for all states, but it at least proves in theory things should work for the state level. This one has me stumped.
