  1. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with those 4 items ...so created 4 new ones and deleted the old ones ,,,site working fine now
  2. When browings through my website with friendly URL turned on it would redirect me to my grey shelf Categories page this only happens with a few of the items i the Cabinet categories. (only 4 out 120 items get redirected) i have updated htaccess and if Friendly URL is off the site works fine.. using Standard ver 1.4.4.0 WWW.allmetalparts.co.uk Any idea how to fix this .. i would like to keep using Friendly URL
  3. Agree with last comment - too much going on company logo name -hard too tell -too many pop ups to distract the user
  4. A nice layout of items -- could do with a few images of dogs(or cartoon type) to help explian to the user what the site is about
  5. Thanks for the feedback gotLivechat Client likes the old retro look of the Logo ..but will change it later on.. glad it load quickly ...it will allow me to add a few flash slides later
  6. Good site -like above the left hand side need to be the same green as the centre and cart ...good centre and right side layout with flash slide.. i just feel the top header is too plain - go bigger hi impact logo - update to button for login sitemap --maybe use the sage buttons styles--or some elements design from there packages
  7. A good clean site - my eye was drawn to the left hand column and i started to surf up and down the list ...it was only after a few minutes that i noticed the top bar buttons and dropdowns -- maybe colour button in green and hoover white to catch the eye ... i would add more life to the top header looks too clean - may be hook item items up there ---center text too small to mean anything to me--- or may it's just me and see pictures first then text nice flash with bounce loads and works fine
  8. Hi Weltenschmid thanks for taking the time to look around ....i think the longer loading time last night could be down to the cache refresh was active ..turned it off this morning i've see one problem ,,which is the account block on the left hook when a user crashes out and re enters the site the cache doesn't display the account block (so couldn't; logout) Steve Does anybody have any problems with other browers .. i've tried IE and Firefox so far
  9. Hi All Almost finished my first site(one or two images need update) http://www.allmetalparts.co.uk Just using the default template with a few changes to site still have no idea how to put Userblockinfo on the bottom of the top header and to change the font colour without effecting the footer area. (would like to have it in white) - or can i just leave it off and get them to log in on checkout? The aim of the site is to keep it simple as shop owner hates slow load flash pages the site has about 100 products on there at the moment - hope to up that to 1000+ Need feedback on loading time and feel of moving around the site ad easy of use for the product cat menu may replace the homepage image to a simple eyecatching flash -- but would like to create a module myself for this at some stage hope to have the site live by next week -- so please don't place any test orders Thanks in advance Steve
  10. Hi Gkontos I did try a .htaccess regen an d still had the same problem ... The problem turned out to be the SSl ..it was a shared SSL i had ordered a Full SSL but hadn't setup the admin email so i didnn't receive the agree email for the Rapid SSL ....Solved now (blanked out the domain name for SSL field) and site is working with https:// spent 3 days banging my head on the wall with shared ssl --- so well worth the extra cost of the Rapid ssl ..hope this helps others out [sOLVED] but can't see how to edit the title text
  11. Hi Gkontos i have a simple ssl from my host heart internet ...my PS was stored in a subfolder before ....i have moved it back to the root dir ...i managed to enter the ssl url into the SEO&URL tab and it now allows me to enable the ssl and to enter user name and password. this allows me to toggle the y/n for ssl enable (when set to yes the BO screen changes formats of the BO menu).... the browers switches to https:// xxxx.secure.secure.com/xxxxx.com. i can open my shop on another tab http: i can add to the cart ..........but now if i click on the cart it changes to https:/ but fails to open order.php and the same happens with login .....do i need to edit any files ...or is the problem with the ssl host................site works fine without ssl on update - I've just disabled the friendly URL .and i now get a page up ...but just a text page ..no images or formating latest update - Host is re-issuing the SSL will have to wait 24 hours Steve
  12. Hi All I'm trying to setup my SSL on PS. i have entered the secure url infomation from my host into the SEO URL part of BO. but when i try to enable the SSL on the Preferences tab .. it take me to the BO login page.. if i enter my username and password it just loops back to the same page with no error warning. (if i take out the secure url info ...i only get "The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address"..etc) An ideas what i'm doing wrong Using plain 1.4.4.0 ver
