  1. Hi, I'm running behind schedule (majorly!) on a small project and need some support to configure the layout of pages, modules and menus. Having not worked with Prestashop for some years, I'm a bit confused with how the template and hooks system works. I've tried modifying the default-bootstrap template and also two premium templates - 'Alysum' and 'Handmade', both from Themeforest. Unfortunately, I seem to be making a mess of things when trying to customise any of these. It is likely that no custom coding is needed, just someone who knows how to position the modules correctly on certain pages etc, or who is confident they will be able to work out how one of the two mentioned premium themes works, as these do have some nice features which would be a bonus to use. I realise that I should just read the documentation and learn how things work, but due to the urgency I'm looking to hire someone to help set up one of the themes. I do have a PSD design, which can be used to illustrate the style we are looking for. Attached is a rough draft, but this is not set in stone and there is some freedom on this (improvements welcome). Basically, we just need a top menu, main horizontal menu, categories in the left column, and a small footer menu. The design is in fact quite basic and many of the modules can to be disabled. All of the data side of things and is sorted. i.e. Categories and products are all set up. Manufacturers and suppliers are not needed and these modules can be disabled. Is there anyone available to help either at a set price or hourly rate, but quite urgently? If so, please get in touch and full details can be given. Many thanks, Adam
  2. Hi, I am wondering if someone can advise on the best way to go about an issue I am facing with how we'd ideally like to use Prestashop? I've used Prestashop for quite a number of websites over the past five years or so, but never before for selling electronic/downloadable products. I'd like to use Prestashop for a project that I've been assigned in my new job but fear the checkout process as it currently is might be too complicated for what we need. In brief, we are selling downloadable/electronic files and mainly, but not exclusively, to businesses. Therefore, we only need a billing address and not a delivery address. To remove a further step, the delivery options should also be removed. Finally, we will be offering only one payment method, so the step giving payment options could also be removed. To really make things slick, it would be ideal to auto-generate a password for a customer account and issue this to the entered email address when the payment is accepted or at least, when the payment is submitted. I've looked at many of the One Page Checkout modules, but none that I've come across look to be appropriate. In fact, I realised when looking in to this that the majority of the One Page Checkouts currently available are in fact the same checkout process, but displayed on one page rather than over five pages. What I'm looking for is a much simplified checkout process altogether, one that gives the option to remove many of the required fields and steps. An ideal checkout page would have the following format, avoiding many of the current steps. If anyone can advise on currently available solutions or a proposed solution, that would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance. Example Checkout Page Cart Summary XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX exc. VAT £150.00 XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXX exc. VAT £100.00 __________________________________________________ Product Total exc. VAT £250.00 VAT £50.00 __________________ Total £300.00 Personal/Company Details First Name Last Name Email Company Address 1 Address 2 Town County/State Postcode/Zip Country Payment Details (card logos) Card Type Card Number Start Date End Date CCV2 >> Make Secure Payment Button Further notes on the above Personal/Company Details: Address captured here would be the billing address only. The delivery address would not be required as we are only selling downloadable products. Delivery Methods: Not required as only selling downloadable products. This area should be bypassed altogether. Payment methods: Only one choice. Ideally, assuming SSL is enabled, payments should be entered directly on this page. As a secondary option, the payment choice should be removed in favour of a 'Make Secure Payment' button, which would link straight to an external payment page (PayPal, for example).
  3. Hi, In older versions of prestashop I successfully 'wrapped' custom php pages that contained scripts within a Prestashop theme by including the config.php, header.php and footer.php on each page I wanted the theme. With Prestashop 1.5 or above, I understand that I can create a controller for a single custom page. However, can I use one controller for multiple pages? I have a custom app that I'd like to run within the Prestashop template, though this app is made of many php pages and I'm hoping there is a better way to do this than creating a controller for each php page. For example, can I use a single controller to include the content from various php scripts? Or is there a way to 'wrap' custom content easily within a Prestashop 1.5 template? If there any Prestashop experts available to help with this immediately I am happy to pay for your service. (And there is more work to come!) Thanks, Adam
  4. Can anyone help me with this? Am I doing something obviously wrong as it seems strange that nobody else is having this issue? Thanks, Adam
  5. Hi, We have a site up and running and when an order is placed successfully, two emails are sent to the buyer. These are the Payment Accepted email and the Order Notification email. If we turn of the sending of an email for the Payment Accepted status, then this also seems to disable the Order Notification email. Are these two linked somehow? Can someone tell me how I can turn off Payment Accepted emails though keep the Order Notification email? Thanks in advance! Adam
  6. Hi, The site is a canvas art website, and the reason we cannot use the latest version is that we have quite an advanced online preview system integrated in to version 1.3.0 already. It would require a lot of work to set things up again using the latest version, and there are only a few small bugs to fix now. Thanks anyway for the suggestion, Adam
  7. Hi, We are on the verge of launching a new Prestashop site (though using Prestashop v1.3.0) and the One Page Checkout module. However, we have a few small bugs that need resolving, ideally today. Tasks/bugs that need completing include: Customisation values show as tax included on email notifications, though the default user group is set to 'tax excluded'. When vouchers are used as part of an order, the status gets marked as 'Payment Error', even though PayPal processes the order fine and uses the correct value. We also need to make a modification to how vouchers process tax. To be more specific, when a voucher is a percentage discount type, then tax should only be paid on the reduced product total, wheras if a voucher is fixed fee type, then tax needs to be charged on the original/unreduced amount. Can anyone help me with any of this? If so, please contact me asap with details of your fees. Many thanks, Adam [email protected] +44 (0) 208 123 5061
  8. Hi all, It's actually been a while since we made this site live, but there seems to be some interest in canvas art websites powered by Prestashop. We launched http://www.zapcanvas.com on behalf of a client last year and the success for them has been outstanding. Zap Canvas was the second major canvas art website we have produced, the first being http://www.chic-art.co.uk Both sites use different online preview systems, so they are quite different technically. Please feel free to have a look and I welcome any comments (good or bad!). Thanks, Adam
  9. Hi, I require the services of someone who knows Prestashop very well to help us integrate a system we have developed. In brief, the site will be selling canvas art. We have created a system taht allows users to upload a photograph and customise it to be printed on canvas. However, we need this system to feed the photograph as a product to Prestashop's shopping cart. An example of a previous site we have done with can be seen here... http://www.chic-art.co.uk/canvas-preview.php?imgid=139&pid=139. However, the new site is using a different preview system so we need to do a fresh integration to Prestashop. It is likely that whoever can do this will only take a few hours though we will pay well! Please respond immediately if interested. Adam +44 (0) 7867 534747 [email protected] sykpe: edevuk gtalk: [email protected]
  10. Thanks for the quick reply. I love your site design and layout by the way - it looks great. I'm not sure if you're aware but there is an error on your site when adding some of the prints to the cart (on the PayPal site and referring to invalid shipping weights). Just thought I'd let you know. So by altering the code of Prestashop, did you manage to create a custom report for each manufacturer/artist? Thanks again, Adam Chic Art – Canvas Prints
  11. Hi, I'm looking to set up a similar system for paying royalties to artists and photographers for each one of their peices that gets ordered for a print. Did you find a solution for your problem as this seems similar to mine? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Adam Chic Art - Canvas Prints
  12. Hi amanuensis. I'm not too sure what's going on there. I can't see that code anywhere in my version. It is version 1.1 you are using isn't it? If it helps, the 3 lines immediately above the ones I commented out (lines 21-23) look like this... // Checking path $pathServer = ereg_replace('^/', '', $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); $pathUser = ereg_replace('^/', '', str_replace($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'], '', $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'])); In other words, it is the 'Checking path' section you are looking for. Hope this helps.
  13. No problem. Hope it helps people. I can confirm that this was happening on our installation with no subdomain. The clustered hosting may or may be a factor in this but has caused a few similar issues relating to paths and IP addresses before.
  14. Hi all. I'm using PrestaShop 1.1 for the first time at the moment and certainly do not classify myself as a coder! However, I've been getting this error on the Admin Login page and could not find an easy solution to remove it: The below solution does not stop the error, but 'hides' it so it does not look unsightly on the login page. I would first ensure the following and only use this solution if these points are all checked: 1. You can still log in fine and everything else works ok 2. You've entered all subdomains for your site under Tools > Subdomains 3. You've checked your file/folder permissions are all correct Then, if you are still getting the error it can be hidden by commenting out lines 24, 25, 26 and 27 on login.php (in your admin folder) so it looks like this, with // at the beginning of each line: // if (strcmp($pathServer, $pathUser)) // $errors[] = Tools::displayError('Path is not the same between your browser and you server:').' '. // Tools::displayError('- Server:').' '.htmlentities($pathServer).' '. // Tools::displayError('- Browser:').' '.htmlentities($pathUser); If one of the team members can confirm this is ok to do that would be great as I'm quite a novice but it seems to work ok. And sorry if this has been addressed somewhere else, though I've not been able to find an answer in the forums. PS. I am using clustered/grid based hosting, not sure if this makes a difference or not?
