HI Thanks for the info all I get from my hosting is "If we allow you to use 755 for your permissions, anyone would be able to execute on your files and this will lead to a security breach for your files and hostings so our engineers won't allow this." So no idea, they say they will look at the installation but I am not sure if there is a get around? Cheers

Why is it that PrestaShop needs to have the 755 file attribute as this allows security issues with the server? Is this for just the installation?

Hi I am trying to upload PrestaShop to Easily Linux Server, the install requires the permissions to be 0755 but after contacting Easily support they are saying that they cannot allow settings to be 0755 for the security of their servers? I have in the past had a PrestaShop site on their servers, but everything became corrupt and now it seems I cannot install PrestaShop on their Servers most bizarre. Anybody come up against this before? or have any solutions? or comments that might help me when I talk to them again. Don't know why this option would give them a problem. Thanks in advance.
