Thanks Rolige for the assist, upgrading from 1.4 --> 1.5 --> 1.5 --> 1.6 --> 1.6 worked a charm and kept everything all happy. Disabling non native modules and themes also helped to ensure it didn't lose its mind.

Hi all, Thanks for all the responses on the topic. I havent had a chance to do any of the suggested steps yet but ill be sure to try them. I used the 1 click upgrade initially going from 1.4 to 1.6 without disabling my custom theme or modules and it lead to a rather broken store so i rolled it back and went with a new approach of building a store from scratch. Ill post again when ive gone through everything will my results.

Hi, I recently began developing a new website from scratch on my localhost to replace my aging live website. I was wondering if their was a method to take all of the existing data from my prestashop 1.4 SQL database and more or less transplant it into my new 1.6 SQL database. I understand this can be done through CSV imports but i continually run into errors stating "cannot be saved" using this. I assume that between 1.4 and 1.6 the table structure for the database has changed a bit as well.
