  1. For anyone wanting to change the decimal and thousands grouping characters like the OP intended, look for group and decimal right after "symbols-numberSystem-arab" in the main--xx-XX--numbers file that the OP refered to above
  2. Do you know how to change the digits as well from 1,2,3 to ١,٢,٣?
  3. I've downloaded the Arabic language and when I switch to it in the front-end the prices are still displayed in the numerals used in English (e.g. 1, 2, 3,4 etc.) I would like to be able to change the numerals to the ones used in Arabic e.g. (١,٢,٣,٤ etc). Anyone have any idea what files I can use to do that replacement?
  4. I don't know if it's the same problem but my issue was solved when I went to themes/<theme_name>/translations/en-US and copied one of the files there to the themes/<theme_name>/translations/<lang-locale> that I need to translate. But I changed the filename to be ...<lang-locale>.xlf instead of ..en-US.xlf and inside the file I changed the target-language="<lang-locale>" instead of target-language="en-US"
  5. Hi, I am using the latest 1-Click Upgrade module (v 3.0.5) When I try to upgrade my site from 1.7.3.0 to 1.7.4.1, it stops at the following point with the same message. I tried this twice with the same results. The whole site also becomes unaccessable and the only option is to manually restore the file backup. I have also attached Developer Tool Console output. Is anyone else facing this issue and is it a bug in the upgrade module? Regards
  6. In a large eCommerce site where there are literally thousands of products yes that makes sense because there's just too much complexity to bother about pretty pink addresses on top and the general focus is something else entirely. If I ever need to build a site like that I won't be using PrestaShop anyway. But when all you have is 34 products it's really ugly to have domain.com/categ1/05-my-product.html. It's so typically PrestaShop. I also believe that it is a good sign when you are not able to identify a platform just by looking at it. The more generic a site looks the more professional impression that it gives.
  7. Magento and Shopify both don't add product ids. It is really embarrassing that in 2017 we're still adding product ids to the URL. It's ugly and not user friendly. In my opinion this is currently one of the biggest arguments against Prestashop. Even Woocommerce has better product urls than this!
  8. I'm working on the assumption that the upgrade was successful. Everything does seem to be smooth so I assume it was a matter of the upgrader not notifying of successful end. Still.. should be looked into by the module developers. I think manual installation would be way too much effort and it is not supported by prestashop.
  9. Thank you! That seems to work on 1.6.1.7! and Chrome v59
  10. You can add a "Show all" in Prestashop 1.6 with minor modifications (I would even call them bug fixes) on two files: 1 - In {theme}/nbr-product-page.tpl (line 63 and 64) modify the code to what you see in bold: {if $nValue <= $nb_products} /* not sure why the complication of having a lastnValue, worked wrong anyway */ <option value="{$nValue|escape:'html':'UTF-8'}"{if $n == $nValue}selected="selected"{/if}>{if $nValue == $nb_products}All{else}{$nValue|escape:'html':'UTF-8'}{/if}</option> 2 - Then in classes/controllers/FrontContoller.php (line 1133) remove the part in bold: if ((int)Tools::getValue('n') && (int)$total_products > 0) { /* not sure the value of adding the total number only when you you've selected a previous number?? */
  11. Hello everyone, I'd like to post some of the difficulties faced by us custom developers (developers approached by a merchant to create their prestashop site) in an effort to brainstorm and see what other people's experiences have been like. This is my second Prestashop site and one main thing I have been facing constantly has been the difficulty in customizing the existing themes. My main experience has been that the themes are good "as-is" only. Any attempt to change the layout or move a module from one position to another causes the whole thing to break down. For example moving a navigation bar from being right-floated to center for example took way more time that would reasonably require. Or to move the cart icon from the top of the screen to sit next to the navigational menu items also required so much effort that I am considering to revert back. This is because the CSS is almost made to sit only where it currently is and work nicely only with the originally neighboring elements and even the responsiveness is made that way. So every time I need to change a position I would have a lot of work to make it work nicely in its new position, with its new neighbors and all this taking into consideration how it acts with different screens. Most of the time it's not worth all this effort AT ALL! I wonder what people's thoughts are on this topic.
  12. This has been a very frustrating module. It seems all the Prestashop payment modules are competing with each other in how to waste your time. For this issue: In hipay.php in the processAccountCreation function, in line 966, replace this code: 'locale' => $this->formatLanguageCode(Context::getContext()->language->language_code), with this: 'locale' => $this->formatLanguageCode('fr_FR'/*Context::getContext()->language->language_code*/), That's the only way it will accept creating an account. I would have gone to the link Hi-media_SupportIT suggested but it was broken! You will get an email in French just click on the obvious link in the middle. I could proceed with the rest of the account configuration on the HiPay site in English. You would have to wonder though if you really want to use a module that you had to hack like that for actual payment handling.
