Hi selectshop I sent an email from the Addons site, I clicked on a theme and then "contact the developer". I thought going through the Addons site was the safest option, maybe I am wrong? Yikes those are some hefty prices for support, maybe I am being naive in thinking it would be a lot less for a one-off set up. That's great advice re. the job offers link , I will have a look on there for some ideas on who to use. thanks again for your help, much appreciated!

I have asked Prestashop Addons for a quote to upgrade my Prestashop version and install a new theme for me (as my last attempt crashed everything) but I have been told that its "the Lunar New Year Vacation" so they cant provide a quote for me?! Hmmm will have a think on where to turn next... thanks

Hi I want to revamp my website and buy a new theme (I am currently on default shop) plus purchase a slicker payment gateway as currently using free version of Paypal. I have a few questions: 1) Currently using 1.5.6.1, should I upgrade to a newer version of Prestahop first? I am reading that there are lots of bugs with later versions so is it worth it? 2) Which payment gateway would you recommend for use mainly in the UK? I also want customers to be able to use their Paypal account easily, I have read somewhere that there are currently issues with Paypal and Prestashop so to avoid Paypal, what do you guys use? 3) Does anyone have any recommendations for themes that work well without bugs (along with their chosen payment gateway)? I am currently selling only about 20 different products but need scope to increase that a lot more in the future. many thanks :-)

Hi HJ I sorted my issue by switching to Vidahost who happily increased my limit at no extra charge, twice! All worked fine once the limit was increased. Simple! Probably need to check with your hosting provider. Highly recommend Vidahost if you need to switch. Good luck.

Hiya I tried to upgrade to the latest version (still using 1.5.6.1) but as the layout was all over the place (I made some changes ages ago when first installed) I decided to flip back to the old version until I have the time to fix the changes in layout in the new version as I will have to re-learn how I did it! I now have an error in the stats dashboard which means I cant save the "To" date after I change it, it just keeps reverting back to the same date 2016-07-17 which I think is the same date as the backup retrieval was done. Does anyone know how I can fix this? many thanks p.s. I will need a simple step by step answer as I am not a programmer sorry

Hi I have an ebay store which has been running for some time, I would like to link it to my Prestashop store (1.5.6.1) but will it affect my current ebay listings? I believe from previous threads that the listings should be created in Prestashop first and not the other way around, will this cause a problem or will my ebay listings be altered in some way? Would it be better to upgrade to the latest PS version first? Bit nervous of pressing the button and then finding its all mucked up! many thanks

Just to update for anyone else in same situation, Fasthosts say I dont have access to the files and the max_input_vars cannot be increased above the set limit of 1000 unless I upgrade to a private server. What a crock! Off to see which hosting provider can offer a better service - any recommendations for UK (or near) hosting providers very welcome! Thanks everyone for your help yet again

All done... but still not working...maybe need to change hosting?

Thanks for helpful reply, unfortunately it seems I dont have a public_html folder! All I have from the root directory is the htdocs folder and logfiles, I have opened both of those up and cant seem to find any such folder. Bit strange or bit simple?!
