Working with Office365 SMTP Email
BeatsMe replied to JasonRShaver's topic in Configuring and using PrestaShop
Sorry for digging up an old topic, but I have the same problem now.... I have just recently switched to Microsoft 365 Business email and cannot get the email working either. Have tried on a live site running ps1.6.1.24 and my test site running ps8.1.2 using the attached setting. Have contacted Microsoft support and they tell me it's not an error on their end. Did anyone find a solution to this problem?? -

Thanks for the tip. Did some testing on the current install and seems to be working ok for now. I will keep testing and move to next step. -
Problem with cart button after upgrade to ps8.1.2

So.... I have re-installed my test site with ps8.1.2 that i downloaded directly off prestashop.com, and looks like it is working correctly. It would appear that something in the Inmotion scripts install has a bug... i cannot recommend using their script install. I can now move forward to the next big problem... Migration from ps1.6.1.24 -

Problem with cart button after upgrade to ps8.1.2

Hi AddWeb Solution.... Forgot to add the screenshot. Have added now, this is after clicking on ADD TO CART. -
Ok... I have a test site that I'm testing the install of ps8.1 I have installed ps8.1.0 using the Inmotion Prestashop scripts. This is the demo shop that installs as default. Changed nothing, except to enter the required parameters for the Bank transfer to work. Using the default user (JOHN DOE) to test with. Can add items to the cart and place an order. Seems to be working ok. Then.... Have installed 1-Click Upgrade, and upgraded shop to ps8.1.2 After upgrade is complete, ADD TO CART button no longer works. Have changed nothing, other than to upgrade to current ps version. I have read about problems with Javascript, but cannot work out what the console is reporting. As said above this is a raw default install that I'm testing with and not getting anywhere with even the demo shop. Default theme, no changes.... I'm starting to lose hair because of this!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Running... Server information: Linux #1 SMP Wed Aug 24 21:31:23 UTC 2022 x86_64 Server software version: Apache PHP version: 8.1.23 Memory limit: 512M Max execution time: 1000 Upload Max File size: 256M

As per my other topic that I linked in my previous post above, the solution has been to reduce the PHP to v5.6 What I still don't understand is why my pstest site works fine with the original PHP v7.0?? I have asked the host of this question and they have not responded regarding that, all they have said is.... If changing the PHP version down to a lower version worked, that is indicative of a plugin conflict or PHP code issue. As you are on a shared server, we would not be able to make changes to the global PHP configuration. This is something that would need to be worked on by your developer to ensure compatibility. Upon further searching here, there is indication that one of the PHP scripts is crashing, causing issues. The logs do not indicate what is crashing. See the below error message: 20961558 [Warning] Aborted connection 20961558 to db: 'mcdrac6_shopdb' user: 'mcdrac6_shopdb' host: 'localhost' (Got an error reading communication packets)

Hey, Just wondering if anyone might know what this error means... [14-Sep-2023 12:48:17 Australia/Sydney] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: shop in /home/mcdrac6/public_html/classes/Mail.php on line 253 [14-Sep-2023 12:48:17 Australia/Sydney] PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/mcdrac6/public_html/classes/Mail.php on line 253 Two error lines when a customer placed an order today. Hoping for a solution. Thanks for looking. -
Strange situation regarding Error 500 - Internal Server Error

I have noticed that with the browser Developer Mode on it shows an error 500. See attached image. If you reload the page throws a "Cart cannot be loaded or an order has already been placed using this cart" error. Also see attached image. When you reload the root website and go to "My Orders", the order is there but no status. The Prestashop debug mode shows nothing. Is there anyone that can help with any idea of what the problem might be?? -

I only have one payment method enabled.... Bank wire payment. Using the standard checkout mode ie the five steps.
