  1. For anyone who finds this post and is still looking for a solution, I found a module that worked. You can just add url query string www.prestashop.com?voucher=code and it will add the voucher to the user's cart. https://addons.prestashop.com/en/promotions-gifts/22450-voucher-coupon-link-generator.html
  2. I am looking for the exact feature. We disable the voucher field at checkout to discourage people from exiting the funnel to look for voucher code. Offer an link that would activate the voucher for the visitor within needing to enter it at checkout would be great.
  3. Found this post while googling for the same problem. Does anyone know?
  4. I believe this solution should work. Worked for me in PS 1.6.1.4 https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/114801-combinations-only-images-of-default-combination-displayed-by-default/

  6. I have been in preproduction for last few months with Prestashop. I am finally getting ready for launch and leave my OLD ecommerce platform behind! I was wondering what other shop owners here have done with their Google Analytics migration. Should I keep using the existing GA account and property? Or is it better to start from scratch and use a new GA property? My key URLs will be the same in Prestashop. I will miss my old data if I start from scratch. But using a new property will be easier for me to setup while I am still in prelaunch mode. I would really love to hear what others have done, their experiences, and/or regrets. Thanks, David
  7. I have been reading the forum to see what is the best process for product exchanges. We also sell clothing and the need for this is quite frequent actually. I like the way Bill below has mapped out his exchange process. Makes sense and no additional modules needed. But I have another exchange case: Exchange for gift recipients Half of our orders are gifts and are sent to friends or relatives. These recipients would contact us and like to exchange for a different size for example. Since they did not place the original order and don't have an account, what would my process be? I ask them to send the item back and process it as a return and generate a credit slip/voucher but that credit is on the original buyer's account. Can I create a new account for the gift recipient and apply that return credit to this new account so I can create a new order for the gift recipient? Has anyone encounter this case and have a process/solution? Thanks in advance, David
  8. Hi Nemo, I think you are right. It is most likely the template. We discovered that it is not working on some browser and OS combinations. But it works for others. Strange. Thanks for all your help. David
  9. Do you know of a test or demo site where I can see that it should work that way?
  10. Hi Nemo, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, no it is not working like I think it should. I did set all the combination images for each combination. If I enter the url with the options, the default image is still showing. I wonder if the theme I am using is causing this issue now. David
  11. Is the below possible or can I only dream? I see that product combination has a URL like example.com/clothing/dress.html#/2-size-medium/3-color-red Using this URL, I want the visitor to see the product image of the red dress instead of the standard default image that is the same for any combination. Basically, if the URL allows visitor to see the product page with pre-selected options, why can't it show the images related to the options pre-selected from the URL?
  12. Found this thread searching for my own question on product combination default image. Product combination url follows a route like: mydomain.com/product.html#/1-size-medium/1-color-red When visitor goes directly to this product combination url, I want it to show the first image of that red combination image set (or better yet allow us to assign a default image per product combination). Right now, PS is still showing the general product default image for any product combination url. The visitor has to click on the color in order for it to show the first image of that combination. Does anyone know if this is possible?
  13. I have a similar need. We have different color names per product. For example, one item will have a color "oatmeal" while another will have a color "almond". We want to use the color filter so that the color "biege" will show these similar colors. Anyone found a solution to this?
  14. I need to hire an all-in-one consultant/developer/long term support person or team to help migrate my store to Prestashop and support it for the long haul. Ideal candidates will oversees theme development, hosting recommendation, installation, 3rd party add-ons integration, and pretty much anything that could come up during the migration from our old cart to Prestashop. After 10 years on my current hosted platform, I am ready to switch to Prestashop. While I am the store owner and not a programmer, I did write all of the html/css/jquery in my current store. I don't mind getting my hands dirty with php, css, and jquery. But I want an expert that will work with me along the way. For example, during installation and integration, there might be tasks where I want to do it myself for the sake of learning and being able to be self-reliant on minor issues. But on an on-going basis, I want you to provide the main support when I can't do it myself. I am keeping this at a high level for now. Please PM me for details. I can provide you my site and answer any further questions. I prefer an US-based person or team for ease of communication and time zone convenience. At the end, I am interested in seeing how you propose this relationship will work (i.e. per project phases vs hourly) and customer references that I can contact. I am looking to hire soon but we'll have a few months before flipping the switch to Prestashop officially. Thank you for your time. Hope I will hear from some of you. David
  15. I am evaluating Prestashop. Looking for a platform that can help with my mobile conversion rate. It is currently 30-50% that of my desktop conv rate. I could imagine iPhone users browsing on my Prestashop site. Currently, when they hit checkout, they have to enter a lot of billing information manually on the small keyboard. This is where conversion funnel rates start to drop. I mean.... who wants to enter all that data on the small screen. As merchants, we just hope that they go home, get on a computer, and remember to come back to our website to redo the entire process. With Apple Pay or a Google equivalent, wouldn't it be great if they can just use it to easily pay and complete their transaction on their phone without having to type that much? Just a finger print scan confirmation? This is where I would think Apple Pay integration with Prestashop. I see that Stripe has an official Prestashop module and they did announce support of Apple Pay. Hopefully, this would be a solution! But not sure if it supports websites as well as apps.
