  1. Hi all. The new prestastore looks awesome. I am just wondering if this is really a good idea. Having a place so that community members can easily add modules for payment will just stop people from releasing these modules for free. Anyone with any thoughts?
  2. In response to the original comment, I saw on the modules page in the back office a link to prestastore. which i guess is an online Prestashop store of some kind. One of these items says Amazon services, or something like that, I cant' remember. I wonder what they are doing with this? Might be worth asking them? This is on latest alpha btw. Just a thought.
  3. I'm sorry my french is terrible. Does anyone have a event registration module? I am looking for. Thank you
  4. I had nothing better to do so I fixed the problem for you: in .ratingblock in ratings.css delete height: 42 px; that should do it!
  5. Your welcome, it's not really that serious, just overlapping a bit, but just thought you might want to know.
  6. Nice website: PetsRight.com. I noticed one thing though. When on a product page and you rate the product, the "thanks for rating text" overlaps the box in FF 3. Just thought you might want to know. It may be an issue with the module, I don't know, haven't used it.
  7. Thanks for all your comments guys. You're right, I can live without the caching. I didn't notice much a difference either. I'll probably just leave it for now, and maybe mess with it again with 1.2 stable, perhaps. Anyways, thanks for your assistance.
  8. Thanks for responding. Yeah, the permissions are okay, in fact, when I enable the caching in the config it generates the tpl cached files right away. Problem is, as soon as this happens, really weird stuff happens on my site. For example, I will click on a product link and it will show the correct url for that product in the address bar but it will show the same product page. All so all the meta tags are messed up as there is some strange combination of information in them. LOL. I am using 1.1.0.5 and have sef urls activated. But, I have not made any changes to core fills, only CSS, that's it. So it is basically just like the default.
  9. Hi. Thanks for your response. I am getting very strange things happening when I try to enable caching especially in the smarty.config.inc.php. Please see here: http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/19505/installation_configuration___upgrade/smarty_template_caching_bug Any ideas? Thanks.
  10. Is anyone experiencing this problem? I just read the documentation from smarty.net and it seems all of my configurations are correct. Anybody? Thanks.
  11. Hi all, I'm fairly new to smarty templates, but it is my understanding that in the default installation of prestashop, smarty caching is disabled, correct? It certainly looks like it by the default smarty.config.inc.php file. So I am having trouble getting this caching to work. I made the flowing changes: 1. config/smarty.config.inc.php -----> $smarty->caching = true; 2. tools/smarty/smarty.class.php -----> var $caching = 1; var $cache_lifetime = 3600; var $cache_modified_check = true; 3. 777 permissions on all files as specified in the install instructions BTW, I am using Presta 1.1 Now, after I made these changes, I got the cached tpl files in tools/smarty/cache/ which is a good sign. I do believe the pages load faster. However, when I make these changes, a few problems are introduced. I can view the info pages okay such as about-us, contact-us, etc. But the category pages and product pages do not load the correct things. For instance, I can click on any product or category link and all it does is reload the same page. Also, the title tag doesn't display the information and it places the name of my shop in front. Very strange stuff here. As soon as I change $smarty->caching back to 'false' my site is back to normal. I have been running my site with sef urls for months and have had many orders without any problems. I guess what I am wondering is: Am I configuring something incorrectly, am I missing a setting somewhere, or is there a bug somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  12. I was wondering where did you make this change? What file and directory? Thanks.
  13. ha ha, looks just like the Magento modern look. good job.
  14. The computer picture is the advertising module, just uninstall it through the back office on the modules page, or just remove it from the left column in the positions area.
