  1. Hi guys, I've been running prestshop on our own servers for ages. We notice that sometimes (today for example) the backend only (admin areas) of prestashop are extremely slow, i mean about 2 minutes to load a page. However our store in the front runs super fast. I have read that there are some modules that connect back to prestashop. Currently the management of the server is unusable. A full reboot of the system does not solve the issue. The server load is tiny, as prestashop is the only site running on the dedicated VM. What connections are set up between prestashop servers and prestashop installations? Is there a way to disable these/or check them?? If this cant be fixed we need to look at another store solution. Thanks for any help! steve
  2. We have been noticing that yesterday 15th Oct, the front end of our shop was performing well as normal, but when we logged into the backend of the same server the performance was really slow. Pages loading by the browser showing unloaded elements etc. The difference was remarkable, yet its the same physical machine. I tried to look at the prestashop forums about this, but yesterday the prestashop website (this one) was down for a few hours. This morning (UK time) the prestashop website is now back up, as I'm typing on this forum, and now the backend of my prestashop store is also performing normally again...Why is this?? Are there modules or processes that run in the backend that are trying to communicate with prestashop servers? if so, why and i would like to know which ones. Can anyone advise on this or has this been seen by anyone else? Thanks
  3. Hi, I will check these points you have mentioned. I will try checking the db after a reboot. Thanks
  4. No multi stop is NOT enabled. I only have one store on this server. The two URL's i am referring to are set the same. In the SEO/URL section you have two fields, 'shop domain' and 'SSL domain' Both of these are set with the proper URL, starting www, and then saved. This is all fine until the server is rebooted for whatever reason. If you do that, both of these fields revert to an IP address of the server, and this causes problems.
  5. There must be someone who has seen this?? If i save the http and the https url's in the prestashop backend (see & url's) , and save it, if the server is rebooted, it changes back to an ip address. any ideas?? help??
  6. Hi guys, newbie here, but after running my site for a while, i set up an SSL certificate, and before that i changed my preferences of shop URL from an IP to a real URL. This works fine, how ever, if i ever reboot my server for any reason the base URL goes back to an IP and i have to re-save. Why is this? Is this value not saved in the database somewhewre?? Thanks steve
