According to my settings.inc.php I am running 1.6.0.14. I have been through just about every file in my folder and still haven't come up with sql_mode. Suggestions for where it might be hiding? If I can find it I can change it. Thank you for that. Where would I find the command "sql_mode=""? (config file?) Would upgrading Prestashop to the latest version fix this? Could I retro Mysql to an older version? Again I appreciate your help. Eddy

My shopfront just came up with the following Database Exception message. It does this every time someone tries to access my shopfront. No updates for at least twelve months and no Backend changes for several years and everything has been going smoothly. Any advice on what has happened and how it might have happened and what to do about it? Backend seems to be working fine at this stage - Just the Front end is down. Thanks Tuk99 any solutions to the problem? If I delete and reinstall Prestashop will I then be able to backup from Store Commander or will it simply access the SQL database already on the server?

Currently unable to access backend log in screen. See screen shot. It is not my server that is the problem. I am wondering if somehow I have blacklisted myself or something like this I recently cleared all cookies - does this have anything to do with it? Permissions??? Technoneanderthal here. (Love Neanderthals BTW) I also experienced problems accessing the Bridge through Storemanager for Prestashop at the same time. Second Screenshot. No upgrades to do with anything. I installed Store Manager on my home computer several months ago but everything has been working fine until yesterday. Could this be a server issue? Have contacted Hosting provider to check on status

I have suddenly had this similar error come up when trying to access both my backend and frontend "Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)" I haven't upgraded anything to do with Prestashop I am very happy with the version I have. If you CAN help please keep in mind I fall into the category of techno moron. I have a basic understanding of what an SQL database is but thats it. Regards Eddy
